DO I WANNA KNOW

Somedays she wonders if she's made the right decision in leaving her family behind. Her father had been nothing but kind to her, and she'd gotten along with her siblings as well as siblings could, though she'd never been particularly close to them. They hadn't deserved to part in the way they had - she'd simply up and left without so much as a word. They were probably wondering why, what they had done wrong, was there something they could've done better; to fix things. And yet, she couldn't bring herself to regret her choices. Leaving Rain's group had provide her with a blank slate, the great battle and the divisions following it the perfect excuse to leave her old life behind. Away from the whispers, away from the slip ups and well intentioned words that felt no less like knifes stabbing into her heart. Trees overhead are soothing, familiar yet not - and she stares at the rippled sunlight that falls in patches near her paws as she weaves her way back to camp, mouse held firmly in her jaws. Sand rolls underpaw as she slips through the gorse, blue eyes flitting from face to face as she follows the familiar path to the prey pile. She's done with her hunt, now it's time to socialize. The flame point finds herself a sunny patchy before sitting down, paws tucked neatly beneath herself as she begins her grooming, waiting for someone else to approach and strike up a conversation.

Viridian, a cat Howling Wind truthfully hadn't had a chance to talk with yet. All she knew about the cat was that she was from the pine group originally, and that alone could cause tension between them. That was not the tabby's intention, though. She'd sit nearby, attempting to be as casual as she could be while easing onto her stomach for some sunbathing. "Gorgeous day," She commented idly, ear flicking towards the other cat nearby as half-lidded green eyes wandered over the surrounding trees. "It looks like hunting went well today." Lazy conversation, but there wasn't much else a cat could talk about when she'd never really spoken to the other before now.
