Frecklepaw has been avoiding her siblings. For moons now, it has felt as though the weight of her guilt might down her - each and everytime shes stared at the twos scars, has listened to her big sisters new name. She'd wanted to do better, to be better - to learn and grow and be strong like them. She'd wanted them to look at her, not with pity but with pride.

And now, Magpiepaw will never look at her again.

The absence of their littermate is as though one of her limbs has been cut off, as though she is suffocating. More often then not, the blue tabby does not sleep - hardly eats. Even now, she lays restlessly upon the reeds, eyes wide and heart racing.

Night after night, she has onky nightmares to keep her company. Her mother, her father, her sibling - theyve all left her. Until she cant stand it any longer, jolting up from her nest. Paws carry her forwards with very little thought of where she is going - throwing herself against a once familiar frame now far to round.

" im s-sorry! Im sorry, " comes pitiful sobbs, and Frecklepaw is certain shes a mess. Snot and tears stream down her face, as though she is suddenly a kit again.

Stars, she wishes she really was. At least then she wouldnt feel so alone.

The death of Magpiepaw was torture and perhaps, they would've never died if not for Midnightash. Was it wrong to blame Midnight for the death of her sibling? ... She didn't know, but she'd sunken her venomous fangs into its shoulder and injected them with a strange obsessive hatred for Drypaws. Anyone could tell you that while the river was all given that it was easy to take as well, how many deaths would it take to put that through someone's thick skull? A heavy sigh leaves her lips as she tucks her muzzle into her side until someone collapses into her and she quickly swivels her head to see her sister's snotty face and tears streaming down her cheeks.

Frecklepaw and Magpiepaw were not only her siblings but also her kits, in a manner. She'd raised them alongside the help of queens and she gently wraps a forepaw around her sister. ”It's okay, Freckle... You don't have to be sorry for anything.” Glade coos softly as she allows her little sister to sob into her frame and she does her best to comfort the smaller blue rosette form of them. They were sensitive and often overthinked everything when life was unexpecting - you never knew what would happen the next day. ”We'll be okay... Everything is going to be okay, Freck...”
