CHOCOLATE/CINNAMON CHIMERA W/HIGH WHITE / REFERENCE
a short, compact tom with a small frame and stubby tail. his coat is dominantly white, broken up by two shades of brown which are present in his lesser markings. these markings consist of a mask, colored ears, two mirrored dashes upon his chest, and a filled flank. the lighter shade of brown is the dominant one, while the darker is more of an accent and makes up the less prominent of his patterns. his eyes are a gentle, comforting hue of cloudy sky blue, while his paw pads, nose, and inner ears are maroon. -
Intelligence ●●●●●●●●○○(+) compassionate, selfless, open minded, determined (/) shy, nervous, detached, distractible (-) irritable, reactive, self deprecating, pessimistic. easy on others but hard on himself, finchpaw holds himself to a standard that far exceeds the standards he has for those around him, viewing himself as a burdensome and useless individual who contributes little to nothing for his clan. he treats others with respect and kindness, he is generally easygoing and maintains a good sense of humor when applicable. he is not particularly difficult to approach or get along with, however beneath this feigned positivity lies a heavy burden to bear. the cracks in his mind reveal themselves through means of self isolation, spells of dissociation, socially withdrawing, and mentally shutting down. not a day goes by where he does not scold himself, put himself down, or remind himself of all the things that he is incapable of. he is prone to falling into a state of pessimistic despair, focusing on everything that has gone wrong in his life and on all the things he feels like he cant do rather than all the things he can do or has already done. at his worst, his emotions may become too intense for him to keep bottled inside, his turmoil revealing itself in the form of venom spat from a sharp tongue or mixed with the salt of a heavy stream of tears. he is his own worst enemy and the only one truly holding himself back, and yet he throws himself into his duties and does beyond what is expected of him nearly every time. he tells himself he will surely give up only to do the opposite endlessly, for the truth is that he doesnt want to give up- not truly- and so he blindly pushes on.

— mannerisms: finchpaw is soft spoken and always seems perpetually tired. not always the most attentive, its not uncommon for him to be found with a faraway look in his eyes, oftentimes growing quiet before going completely unresponsive, especially during extended conversation or long events. he tends to get caught in his own head, the thoughts growing much louder than the very real voices flitting around him or being thrown directly at him. he may grow quite still, sitting like an immovable boulder as if he were frozen in place when under immense stress, a phenomenon that is deployed with the intent to draw as little attention to himself as possible, to become invisible. when scolded, scrutinized or threatened, he will lay himself low to the ground with his ears plastered against his head as a means to make himself appear smaller or to hide away from what he wishes to get away from. he cries when hes alone in his nest in the dead of night, silently to ensure that nobody else can hear, the loathing he has for himself always worsening at the end of the day until he can no longer fight off his own cruelty. -
