camp ARMY DREAMERS &. frogvasion

// note, this does indeed take place after they've lost their lives but !! just as an fyi, no one knows they've lost two lives and they don't intend to tell anyone but starlingheart!//

they're resting. at least, that's what they're supposed to be doing. their stupidity has led them here but can they really be blamed? shadowclsn is used to fighting tooth and nail for their prey and that mindset won't stop just because of an uptick in frog population. they don't care how many frogs there are. they fear leafbare, and everyone here should, too. the numbness following the loss of not just one life but two has them a little more melancholy than one might be used to. it's not as if chilledstar is the most expressive cat in the world but it's not hard to tell that they're just a little out of it. they want to sleep it all off. that's what they intend to do. sleep it off.

only... they can't. as they lay there in their nest, eyes closed and soft snoring escaping them, their ears flick back and forth before a loud croak makes them snap their eyes open. what? they blink a few times to make sure that they're seeing this right. the frog ribbits again, before jumping on their head, making them gasp, and stand up a lot faster than they should of. they ignore the pain in their front limb, hissing as they walk out– doing their best to hide their limp– of their den. the frog doesn't move from their head but it doesn't matter. their eyes widen as the rain pours from the sky and dozens of frogs hop and skip all throughout camp.

"what in the name of the stars..."

this was not good.

Sneezepaw is awoken from his slumber by the gentle pitter, patter of small paws near his ear. At first, in his dream-state, he excuses it as a curious kitten wandering into the apprentice's den. But as the weight of the thing attempts to climb onto him, he is awake in an instant and discovers; they weren't paws at all.

He's always seen frogs as playthings, creatures he'd only allow in his space at his own volition - the sudden appearance of frog against his face was startling to say the least. Unsettled by the intrusion in his space and rude awakening, Sneezepaw shakes the frog off and kicks it away, before hurriedly leaving the den. Out of sight, out of mind, he thinks. One little frog, he can brush off as a minor annoyance.

Only.. that wouldn't be the only frog sighting tonight. As the rain breaks out and batters their camp, Sneezepaw notices several small glints of moonlight reflected off scaly creatures that hop through the night. Oh, so many - too many to count, and upon seeing such a bewildering sight, Sneezepaw's heart skips a beat.

No longer are these little playthings, or food. They're a force to be reckoned with, and they're breaching ShadowClan's camp! His fear is that akin to a common fear of spiders; one or two may be tolerable from a distance, but so many in the same place is enough to send any cat into a fearful panic. And, oh, if any of them dared touch him in such an alert state..

In his daze, Sneezepaw doesn't even notice a frog moving towards his paw. His entire body is stiff and alert, heart beating heavy and his breath quickening. Then, a crawly feeling brushes over his paw - and just like that, Sneezepaw snaps. A shrill scream breaks through the air as the apprentice stumbles back, dramatically waving his paw in the air and crying; even long after the frog had been shaken off. "G-get it off! Get it off! Get it away from me!" Sneezepaw cries. Through his tear-filled eyes, he can make out the blurry shapes of dozens of frogs continuing their march into camp. His skin prickles underneath his fur, as if those same dozens were crawling all over him. Between heavy hyperventilations, Sneezepaw manages to take one large breath and lets out another cry: "HELP!" - all the while, he continues to stumble about, whimpering and shaking off the now-imagined frogs from his paws.

Gigglekit is awoken by Sneezepaw's screams, a deafening noise that causes the bleary-eyed kitten to practically jump out of her skin where she lays beside her brothers and mother. She lets out a pitiful mew of her own at being woken up from what was undoubtedly a good dream, even if she couldn't remember it, and she scrambles to her paws to peer out of the nursery.

The first thing that Gigglekit comes face to face with is a two wide-set eyes, and she gasps - then before she can say anything, a croak escapes the stranger at the entrance of the nursery, and Gigglekit lets out a small shriek of her own to echo Sneezepaw's, tears dotting the corners of her own eyes at being so frightened by the frog that was now pushing past her into the nursery.

"'ama! 'ama!" Gigglekit cried, retreating to Needledrift's belly where she tried to burrow under Morelkit and Branchkit in an effort to get away from the suprise frog. "Go 'way!"

⋆⁺₊ ☾ ⁺₊⋆ The camp is under siege, it seems.

Rain pelts down upon Swansong's manicured pelt, sullying the soft locks she'd worked so hard to maintain - and yet she can't quite bring herself to care. Droopy eyes blink slowly at the sight, the feline herself standing still at the maw of the warriors' den. They don't... quite know what to make of this. Their mind, unwittingly, is pulled back to their youth, to the arrival of terrible beasts, pitch-furred monsters taking over their safehaven.

This is a far cry from that, at last. The frogs lack the same size and ferocity the bears held, yet they make up for it in numbers. Swansong doesn't think she's ever seen a swarm of them before, and yet that word feels all too fitting here. Sheepishly, her racing thoughts swim over to her joking assurance to Briarpaw. Soon, they'll be running the camp... Her ears tip back, just slightly. "Ah... I didn't think they'd actually..." The words peter out, barely a breath and meant mostly for herself. She blinks once more against the downfall, startled into stillness.

The stillness does not last long. Sneezepaw is screaming, and - now, Swansong moves. With some urgency for the languid molly, slithering through the seas of frogs and shaking the slimy things off when they get too close. She speaks just loud enough over the din of the rain, hoping her airy voice soothing. "...They're only frogs. Just bite down and...!"

She snaps at one hopping a little too close to the apprentice's paws, sudden and viperlike. The frog is slippery, though. It darts away, leaving her face to fall subtly. "Oh... I missed it..." The confidence her reassurance held merely a moment ago seems to drain away, eyes darting around dubiously at the frogs that now swarm both her and Sneezepaw.

She presses closer to the apprentice; while the feeling of the frogs brushing up against her soaking fur certainly isn't pleasant, she can still act as a barrier. Maybe it'll calm Sneezepaw's frantic stumbling.

[ ༻❄༺ ] Too many, one deciding to clamber onto Snowpaw waking her, and then the screech of Sneezepaw snapped her fully up, fur on her back rising slightly as she was quick to leave the apprentice den, gaze glinting onto the slimy creatures that invaded their camp. They knew...that Shadowclan had been needing this for many moons...many...but now..."Does Starclan think this funny?" she whispered underneath bated breath before quickly snapping her jaw at one close to her grabbing it before swiftly killing it and dropping it at her paws, yet another came and once more she snapped her jaws towards it, but more and more came making the apprentice back up slightly.

"There's too many!" she cried out, yellow eyes fluttering across the croaks that cried in outbursts across the camp. Swansong and Sneezepaw were together, Gigglekit was crying for her mother...and Chilledstar was there too, in the chaos of it all. Heart pounding in her chest while rain battered her pale figure. This wasn't good, not good at all... how many do they need to kill before they were gone from their camp? Another hopped towards Snowpaw and she quickly swiped it away while taking another step backwards.

One moment he was chillaxing as Opossumpaw commonly does and the next he's sent rolling up onto his paws, hackles raised and tail bushed. Something slimy touched him and it wasn't the rain! His eyes widen as he looks down where he laid and sees the plump bastards who'd done it, big dopey eyes meet his own and a audible "Huh?" leaves him. Around the camp there were dozens of them if not more, they'd invaded the camp in large numbers like they were a clan itself. So much prey very rarely fell into Shadowclan's paws and he's surprised to hear Sneezepaw horrified yowls (oh how he'd never let the apprentice live that down!) a chortle leaves him and he bounds over the frog that'd bothered him and towards his clanmates. He smirks as he comes to stand besides Snowpaw he manages to hear her mumble and would laugh "I think it's funny, Starclan has a good sense of humor" he meows still watching the hopping chaos consuming the camp.

"We'll be eating frogs for days" he muses, one of the slimy things hops closer and Starclan these things were dumber then the ones out in the territory. It's like they wanted to warm the prey pile and hey he wouldn't complain - easy prey was the best prey.

He snaps his head down suddenly jaws baring down on the frogs neck and he gave it a good shake until he's sure its neck is broken. He'd drop it to his paws "Thats one down! Only like a hundred left! Chop chop Snowpaw!"

*+:。.。 Duckshimmer was pissed.

Finding out about Chilledstar's little stunt during the night patrol had very nearly sent the petite woman running up to them, paw raised to be brought down upon their ebony cheek! Even now, the temptation remained, as her paw itched with the lack of satisfaction. Periwinkle eyes feigned no politeness as she glared at the medicine den, furiously rolling over the thought of her leader wasting precious herbs all for being a massive dunce. (Of course, those weren't her only thoughts. She was glad her leader was recovering and hoped it was speedy for all their sakes, including Chilledstar's. But a lady is allowed to be upset once in a while!)

Trapped in her ire, Duckshimmer very nearly could've ignored the entire frog-splosion as it transpired. As it happens, even Ducky is incapable of ignoring the screams of her clanmates - specifically including her son - and soon she's blinking her focus away from the medicine den to glance around. And to think, the melody of frog warbles with the pounding rain had made for such wonderful background noise.
Duckshimmer had been stewing beneath a fern bush at the edge of the camp, careful to keep at least some of her fur dry as she waited out this dreadful storm (and her equally dreadful mood). But just as she got up, blinking against the shower that hit her fur in uncomfortable, persistent pinpricks, she watched in shock as one particular ugly little thing hopped right between her front paws.

It takes her a long moment to take action. Long enough to watch the smooth-pelted thing's throat twitch rapidly as it breathed - or chirped, or did whatever frogs do with their alien little bodies. It reminded her of a rabbit's twitching nose. It might've been cute, had it not instead been so ungodly irritating. This little thing having the gall to just waltz into her paws - did it think itself brave? Did it believe it could survive her inevitable attack?
Did it want to die?

The woman very nearly lost her composure then and there. But luckily, instead of throwing her head back and screaming, she instead pounced on the stupid animal. Its throat is torn in a matter of seconds, and had she not had a vice grip on her fraying self-control she might've torn up into smaller pieces still.
It does little to satisfy her. The blood on her tongue tastes like burnt wood, and she has to carefully spare conscious thought to breathe proper, full breaths. But with a shake of her soaked head, the woman gives up.

Picking up her frog, she picks her way through the army of frogs, ignoring their chirps and her clan-mate's whines. They're just vermin she wants to snap at them, get a grip! Break some skulls!, but she's saving her anger.

Coming to stand before Chilledstar, Duckshimmer promptly drops the dead frog she had killed right at their feet.

"I don't need to be a medicine cat to know what this Starclan sign means, Chilledstar" she speaks carefully, but her usual soft as velvet tone is instead cut through with a dagger pointed straight at her beloved leader. "Starclan mocks you for your choice on that patrol" she practically spits. To think, Chilledstar could've left this world all for a frog that would return soon after with an entire army of ready-to-be-eaten compatriots.
Chilledstar was no better than these idiotic vermin.

Furiously, Duckshimmer pivots on her paw, figuring she's teetered close enough to treason, and makes her leave with a "hmPH!" She hopes her tail flicks just right and sends a spray of rainwater unto her leader's nose. The least they deserve for the worry and pain they've brought upon their clan!

Don't they understand yet?
Shadowclan can always survive another moon of hunger, they'll bounce back like they always have...but that has always been easiest with Chilledstar there to guide them. Duckshimmer would happily give up a full belly forever if she must if it keeps her leader alive. Don't they know that?
How could they not?

Perhaps Duckshimmer should've said that instead of dropping a carcass at their feet but, eh, ladies aren't always perfect.

Shrieks cut through the air, buried under a cluster of rumbling ribbits. Marblekit stirs from where she sleeps beside her littermate, faintly roused from her dreams by Sneezepaw's cries and Gigglekit's upset call to her mother. The camp descends into chaos outside the nursery, and something strange fills the den—some scent she instinctively recognizes.

She pushes herself to her paws, blinking blearily at the creatures that flood the nursery. She finds herself face to face with a deadpan frog, staring at her with big, oily dark eyes. The fur clumps along her spine and she hisses, a reflex so instilled it feels fluid as it leaves her lips.

"Get outta here!" She unsheathes her claws and bats at the creature. She's used to eating frog meat now—Lilacfur has she and Sycamorekit acclimated to ShadowClan's prey now—but there's something unnervingly different about a living frog being in camp with her.

Mere moments after the first frogs clambered their way into the Nursery, Ferndance's wiry limbs pushed her forward to shield the cat's entrance as best she could from other ribbiting ruffians, emerald eyes somehow wider than usual. Frogs bolder than even herself hopped about camp without a care in the world, as apprentices began to slaughter them (and she watched on with a twinge of envy), the white paw of the she-cat swung in hopes of deterring some of the amphibians from hopping closer to where Needledrift and her little ones slept. She knew the blue and white cat could kill a few stragglers, but she didn't want to Nursery to become overwhelmed with them.

"We need to drive them out," she mewed to the nearest council member, words conveyed with a rare bout of urgency. "We aren't the only thing here that eats frogs, what happens when the foxes find their buffet is in the middle of our camp?" The last thing that ShadowClan needed was another hungry predator invading their sleeping space - with her own young to shield this time, she preferred if they would finally band together and do something about the frog fest. She didn't have a plan, all she knew was the consequences of not having one.

their eyes slowly move to all of the frogs, before they blink a few times. duckshimmer makes her anger known to them, even with snide comments and fearless remarks of their utter stupidity. didn't they get enough of that, already? guess not. because it's happening again, and again. their ears pinned back before they just quietly nodded their head.

"yeah."

was that truly all they could offer? yes. they feel so far gone that they can't do anything but agree. it was stupid, they already know that, but they just don't have the likes or means to argue anything else. they don't have the energy to tell duckshimmer that they don't need to be scolded for a decision they'd gladly make again. so, they don't. they only twitch their ears, a thought echoing in their head. sorry. times like this made them miss geckoscreech more. she would have been so angry. cuffed their ear and told them they were so mousebrained for trying to leave her. they'd do anything to hear that just one more time.

"these frogs cannot stay here. ferndance is right. it will attract foxes. and badgers. and stars know what else. hunt as much as we need for the night and get the rest out."

starclan frowns upon killing unless it's for prey. they don't wanna upset the stars anymore but this was clearly getting out of hand. they will have to talk with their counsel to see the best options to take in order to get rid of this problem. no one else needed to get hurt. they dont think their herbs stock could handle any more frogs, anyways. and with that, they begin to try and scare the frogs out of camp.

Give the frogs a mouse-length, and they'll take the whole swamp.

They arrive as an invading force, enfolding the camp within seconds and sending shivers down the antennae of all the swamp's insects. Having the distinct impression that the incessant croaking and ribbiting was indeed climbing to a louder pitch, Smogmaw knew he wasn't losing his wits, and in a breath, his square-shaped noggin pokes from the warrior's den to see swarms and swarms upon swarms, to the frogs completely clogging the center, the entrance, and the nursery.

"What in the- what? No way! Huh!" Excerpts from an articulate mind grappling with a preposterous truth. Bewilderment and drowsy confusion plagues his amber eyes for the moment. Either an unseen force had given the croaking pests incentive to assail camp as one collective mass, or their overcrowding of the marsh is reaching a crucial tipping point. Either way, the ShadowClan camp holds a most unwelcome audience, and already, he could hear the tiniest caterwauls in the nursery.

His vision whips back over his shoulder then, and seamlessly, he marshals those who still dwelt inside the brambled den. "Warriors, get up! he bellows as clearly as his voice would allow, obliterating any room for uncertainty and disorientation among his listeners. "The frogs are here! Protect your camp and clanmates, cull as many as you can!"

Compelled to exit now and brace the growing influx himself, Smogmaw forces across the camp's breadth and wrenches his attention to the enemy. Frogs as tiny as his paws to ones thicker than his skull make for a visually cluttered spectacle, yet at length, he'd settle his sights on the area most in need of defending.

Three frogs have already fallen to him (by means of indiscriminate pouncing) when the deputy comes to the nursery's cusp. There, Chilledstar relays Ferndance's words to all in earshot, as Gigglekit, Marblekit, and other wee'uns pop their small faces from the shrubbery's gaps.

He notes the distinction between his leader's orders and what he'd barked out to his fellow warriors—hunt only what was needed, chase the remainder out. Indignance flickers across his muzzle before vanishing. A full-scale extirpation effort would nip more off from the bud than just following on their froggy heels, but he will heed his leader's word. His tail flicks, a signifier to the new mandate in his mind, and he gets to work. "ShadowClan has suffered worse than some measly frogs! We've survived bears, we'll survive you!"

Smogmaw is, admittedly, having a lot of fun with this. The tom relishes the hunt, whether it be a frog or something with greater berth or status. Now, the hunt has come home, and one-by-one does he smite the incoming warty hordes. He anticipates some will start to flee upon witnessing the example he's making of their kin; then again, he may be expecting a little much from a frog's capacity for rational thought.

Garlicheart doesn't know what the big deal is. She thinks this is great, look at all these frogs! She wasn't expecting it at all, but she thinks it's kind of funny. Frogs are funny. They make silly noises and look silly too. But she supposed the others are right, they could attract unwanted attention. She doesn't want predators in camp. She looks around at the swarm, wondering where to start..... When movement next to her paw catches her eye.

She looks down to see a muddy toad emerging from the ground. It croaks, and she blinks.

Truly, a creature she can relate to.

"Hello toad!"

"Rrrrrt."

"Can you tell your friends to leave?"

"Rrrrrt."

Garlicheart watches in gleeful awe as the toad hops away, believing she has the power to speak to toads when in truth, the toad is simply trying to get away and go about it's day in the marsh.

But not all amphibians are as cordial as her bumpy friend.... She approaches a fairly large frog that stands it's ground and... It lunges at her paw and nips her! She didn't know frogs did that!

"HEY!"

Garlicheart slaps the frog and knocks it over, biting into it for the killing blow.

"RUDE."

Frogs and toads, they were just like her.

Was she a frog or a toad? She loves mud, they love mud.

The mud-stained child stares at a frog, a dirty white paw gently tapping it as it lets out a loud croak and her eyes stare in awe. Wow! That was so cool. " Ekekeke. " Her teeth chatter as she does an horrible attempt to mimic the frogs but it doesn't matter because soon there is a few frogs around her. She had so many friends! The others were hurting her friends, and thus Marshkit attempts to hide them from the others, putting frogs under her stomach and hiding them under her nest.

" I keep safe! " The child whispers proudly as she glares at anyone who gets close to her, safe keeping her tiny bundles of frogs. If anyone tried to touch her friends, she wouldn't retaliate to hurt them! The mud loving child has begun a stash of secret frogs, shushing them whenever they tried to get too loud: covering them with more mud or throwing moss and her nest over them to successfully hide them.

"Isn't this just grand?" comes Hawthorns cheery voice as she returns from a patrol, eyes lit with delight as she almost drops the frog shes holding. What a welcome party this was! Frogs invade camp, tormenting Sneezepaw, Smogmaw seems to enjoy his theatrics of hunting, Ferndance seems a bit worries, saying something Hawthorn doesn't catch... At least Marblekit is having fun! The downpour, though... Oh, the woe of it all... Her fur is all downtrodden now!

She catches a glimpse of something... A quiet 'snrrk' leaves her mouth as Garlicheart gets nipped by a frog. She didn't know they did that, nipping cats and such... Haven't they learned their lesson on where they're at in the food chain? No? Well in that case... Hawthorncry is more than happy to teach them. And it seems Garlicheart is as well as she slaps it and then bites in to it.

Her eyes scan across camp to decide what she'll do next and she grins as she raises a paw to hold one beneath her weight, leaning down to bite in to it. So many frogs, so many choices! Whats next in store for Shadowclan? Perhaps a foxvasion shall follow, just like the bears! To the trees, she'd cry... But Shadowclan doesn't climb trees as much as their forest-y counterparts. Oh well, they don't need to hide; prey is plentiful, and the stage is set for their grand performance of slaughter.

Lividpaw observed the chaos outside of camp inside his dry place in the apprentice den. He had been awoken up by his clanmates paniced screams thinking they where under attack by some carnivore or even another clan. What he hadn't expect was to see a flood of frogs wave their way throughout the camp like a disease. It was for sure a displeasant sight, a troublesome even. Because he did not wish to get out there and get wet just to fight some foolish frogs that didn't know their place in the food chain. Lividpaw had just groomed his fur as well. It would be a cowards play to ignore his clanmates in need though despite how it robbed him the wrong way to think he was forced to get wet because of frogs. It for sure was a story he would never tell a soul about.

With an annoyed flink of his tail he stept outside but he didn't get far before some of the frogs came heading his way. Narrowing his orbs, Lividpaw thought vermins before he lashed out his paw with claws out as he slammed one of the frogs away from him. With a look of disgust he stared the frog down he just had cut through to leave it for dead. He wouldn't forgive them for getting his perfectly groomed fur wet. His gaze shiftly turned to the next slimy parasite coming his way to lash out a paw towards them again...and then another one came...and another one. Lividpaw fought back at all of them as he tried to kill every single one of them by slicing them through. This for sure was a challenge he never had experienced before.

Backing away, Lividpaw panted slightly after he had fought of a couple of them, some dead on the ground while others had slipt past his claws or not getting cut deep enough to leave any fatal injuries. They just kept on coming and Lividpaw contunie to dodge and try to kill every single one that come his way. For how much longer he could endure this he was not sure....and it didn't made it any better that he was all drained and full of this disgusting slime coming from this frogs. He believed he find himself mortified.

"By the stars above, this is ridiculous!" Willowburn shook his head in dismay as he was made to rouse from his warm nest. Though just the action of standing up alone revealed three frogs huddled among his cosy bedding. Sure, he liked to share his nest with others, just not with those of the amphibian kind. A low growl of frustration broke from him as he set about dispatching his unwanted bed companions.

He would have contented himself with stopping there, though given the utter commotion happening it was pretty evident that falling asleep again would be impossible. Ultimately he decided to lend a paw towards the clean up effort instead. He set about grabbing the first frog he saw, though he did not kill it. Given the slaughter already happening it was fairly evident that the freshkill pile would be heaving for days, though overfilling it would only bring about new problems. Nobody wanted to see a bunch of frogs and toads rotting away in the heart of their home.

Without his usual grace he trudged out of the camp before hurling the unfortunate frog off into the grass, firmly evicting it. Huffing, he then returned to the camp to grab another unwanted amphibian before repeating the process.

They're awake way before Smogmaw's voice rings out; the frightened screeches of their Clanmates make sure Mirepurr's eyes snap awake before their brain even catches up.

The scene that greets them outside the warriors' den makes them blink, once, twice — it must be a dream. There is no reality where ShadowClan's enemy is an army of frogs, careless in their hopping and derisive in their shrill croaks. Try as their might, the night does not bleed away into dawn and with their name being called on the lazy breeze. Slimy things hop towards and underneath them, not at all bothered by the increasing number of warriors coming after them.

"What the-"

Chilledstar's order cuts through the fray and gives them a direction. Pale blues narrow in confusion, and Mirepurr looks to the fresh-kill pile, already stocked. Driving them out of camp might just be invitation for the frog's return another night, but they know that hunting them all down would only lead to crowfood right in the heart of their camp.

So they oblige.

They first take to the entrance to the nursery. Kittens are already being shook awake by uncomfortable skin pressing to their sides and backs, unable to protect themselves easily. To Mirepurr, it's no difficult task: maybe they need to be precise with where they dive in first, yes, but the frogs are too slow to evade their jaws forever. Each time they grab one, they release them after a mighty swing to send them towards and over the camp's line.

"Maybe we should throw them across the Thunderpath," they muse, to everyone and simultaneously no one in particular. "I bet they wouldn't find their way back as easily then."

➼➼ Adjusting to life in ShadowClan has not been easy for Stryker. Not only does he know little about the culture of the clan, but his battling skills cannot make up for his subpar hunting skills. He's managed to catch a few things, mostly unsuspecting frogs, but in his eyes the abundance of prey means that it would be near impossible for him not to catch anything. His paws may not be powerful, but they are quick, and the frogs so small that a single strike can finish them off.

Today, though, the black and white tom doesn't need to leave camp with Forestshade to practice his hunting. There have been a few frogs wandering in and out of ShadowClan's camp for a while now—but never like this. It's overwhelming. He feels little loyalty to the clan yet, but his mind still goes to the worst possibilities. The frogs will surely attract larger predators than cats… and what would happen to the kits in the nursery, if those predators began to close in? In a flash of claws and teeth, the tom sets about ridding the camp of their intruders. "Get outta here," he scorns the first frog that he pounces upon, teeth drawn back in a grim smile. He spots other cats out of the corner of his eye, each of them working to slaughter the unwanted guests.

Oh starclan....this was tons of frogs!!. What was he supposed to do?!. Basilpaw looked wide-eyed around him as he watched his clanmates go into defend and start fighting of all of the frogs!. But they where so many...how could they fight all of them of?. That was then he spot Snowpaw in the middle of all the chaos trying his best to battle this slimy creatures away from him!. But then he spotted Lividpaw too...as he looked to be in trouble too, needing his help for sure!. But...who should he pick?. The obivious answer should have been Lividpaw but thanks to his now shared brotherhood with Snowpaw...things wheren't as clear to him like it should have been. He honestly was conflicted. So instead of doing anything at all he just stood there...staring until a frog came flying straight into his eye?!?!.

" GHAAA, MY EYE!, MY EYE!!" he started to yell as he jumped away from the slimy thing!. The frog gave him a 'wrabbit' sound before it jump at him but not alone. Oh no!. They came with a whole army after him to claim the eye he still had full vision in!. Basilpaw flattered back his ears as he picked up a paw in troubled concern and not fear, pfft, absolutely not!. He stared down at his enemy with eyes looking ready to bite into flesh - his flesh. He knew he should attack that this could have been his moment but!! -

Basilpaw turned tail as he started to run the other way. " AHHHHH STAY AWAY!! STAY AWAY!!." Snowpaw, lividpaw, heeeeelp meeeeee!!!.

Swallowpaw has never liked to be woken from their slumber - and definitely not by the arrival of frogs, of all things. Mismatched blue eyes have hardly cracked open from the shuffling of bodies leaving the den before the sounds of shouts reach their ears, the apprentice grumbling and groaning the whole way as they wobble to their paws, blinking the sleep from their eyes. " Wha- oh fox-dung, " comes muffled shout, as the first thing they're faced with is one particularily unlucky frog slipping out the paws of one clanmate and hopping smack dab into her muzzle with quiet plat, blood and frog slime dampening her fur She doesn't think twice before smacking the thing away, claws slicing neatly into it, before turning wide eyes upon the chaos that's broken out within camp. It'd be funny, she thinks, seeing everyone scrambling around, had it interrupted her naptime. Instead, she's bitter and angry and tired, and she simply shuffles along with the rest, smacking and clawing and biting at any frog stupid enough to pass her spot at the den's mouth. " stupid bee-brained frogs, comin' into camp, "
