Personality. (WIP !!<3)
lavenderkit is generally considered to be a happy and bubbly kitten, who enjoys socializing with her clanmates. eager to learn about the world around them, they'll find themselves asking lots of questions, and making a point to learn as much as they can about shadowclan. With age, they will begin to "relax" and find themselves more in a shell than they previously were. anxiety may drive them to be cautious and hesitant, and not as outgoing as they previously were as a young child. open and relaxed with a few close friends they trust, lavenderkit will find herself struggling to make valued connections with friends, despite her natural kindness towards others. despite these setbacks, she will continue to put her clan and others first, even at her own expense.

- will most likely let the fact that they are the leader's daughter go to their heads during kithood & apprenticeship. this could extend to several plots where they have a phase of letting it be a way of trying to get out of any trouble that is caused, or for trying to get their way when necessary. as an adult in warriorhood, they will come to accept that it truly doesn't mean anything, and doesn't make them better than anyone else
- will have an ambitious streak, wanting to follow in their parent's paw-steps and potentially become leader or deputy themselves one day ; may not occur due to redacted plot(s) ; because of this it will cause major internal turmoil and conflict/chaos for themselves
- would like for them to have a close bond with their parents & littermates ; would likely be extremely protective over them to the point of "screening" or getting in the way of siblings potential romances (future plots for them feeling rejected and hurt by their siblings finding love and not being around them as often anymore ; temporarily only ofc)

poppykit's coat is a canvas of rich, warm tones, a symphony of chocolate browns and deep auburns, flecked with vibrant patches of red. a tapestry of colours, her high white markings echo like fleeting clouds against the reddish tones of dancing poppies kissed by the sun. together, these shades create a vivid portrait that captures the essence of poppykit's fiery nature. her fur cascades rather messily down her petite frame, the odd strand of fur sticking out as if it were a blooming bud reaching for the sun. she is wrapped in a warm embrace, and wears this mane and cloak with a certain pride, but does not care to spend her days grooming and fussing over her coat - she is content as it is (and mostly because she believes that flattening the tufts within her fur will only serve to feed her small appearance).
her eyes, amber like molten gold, glow with the warmth of a spitfire character and with the mischief of a kit that holds belief she can take on the world. they hold the spark of fierce determination, a mirror to her spirit and soul, and often betray poppykit by revealing her thoughts and feelings through her expressive gaze.
petite in frame, poppykit often feels the weight of her small stature. she is not small by illness at birth, or by nature fragility, but simply through pulling the short straw (quite literally) in the genetic potluck. poppykit may lament her size, not from self-consciousness, but rather as she knows it invites teasing, mockery, and doubts about her ability to stand her ground. this infuriates her, for she recognises that others can find smug satisfaction in having something to judge her on…but that is their mistake to make. through kithood to adulthood, she carries herself with unwavering confidence, fully aware that her size is her greatest frustration - and yet, it fuels her determination to prove that strength can manifest many forms. whether through tongue, teeth or claws, poppykit will find no trouble in asserting herself to show the world that a small size cannot diminish a fierce nature.

poppy will be a complex character who embodies a morally ambiguous spirit that dances gracefully along the fine line between right and wrong. she is neither a staunch defender of the warrior code, nor a villain lurking in the shadows; instead, she exists in a realm where morality is fluid and subjective. to her, the decrees of long-gone ancestors hold little sway over her present choices. instead of being shackled by tradition, she will navigate the murky waters of ethics with her own compass. laws are as malleable as the circumstances that shape them, after all.
- as a kit, this is something she will realise rather early on. she won't understand the concept of morality just yet, but she will begin to ask the 'why' questions
- rules are something poppykit will struggle with during kithood. she will be compelled to bend them, to varying levels of extremity, and this will first begin as a determination to find out just how far she can push things…like most kids!
- her kithood innocence will naturally leave her to be malleable. as she grows, external experiencs will shape her understanding of what should be vs. what should not
- understandably, this may shape the relationships around her. perhaps her parents will push the 'warrior code' agenda onto poppykit and her littermates, and this will present an opportunity for poppykit to challenge those conventions early on
grounded by her shadowclan heritage, poppy wears her lineage with a sense of honour, yet she is not one to follow tradition blindly. nor would she rebel for the sake of rebellion, but she is one to carve her own way, guided by a moral compass that is distinctly her own. her loyalty to her clan is unquestionable, but she recognises that sometimes, the line between necessary action and overreach can blur. poppy is resolute in her belief that some evils are justified if they serve to protect those she holds dear.
- as a kit, this belief in 'necessary evils' will be something that she learns through exposure
- it is likely that, with the knowledge that she is a leader's daughter, this emboldens her
- with her mother being leader, and her family dwelling within shadowclan, this may influence her way of thinking during her early moons. her mother is in a vulnerable position as the figurehead of the clan, what if something were to go wrong? at all costs, her mother and the clan must be protected. as such, whatever the price, poppykit recognises that she is willing to pay it
though poppy abhors bloodshed and does not seek it out, she is unafraid to traverse paths that others shy away from, especially when the safety of her clan is at stake. when confronted with life-or-death situations, she can transform into a dark saviour, willing to make choices that ensure her survival and that of her clan. her moral code, while rigid in some respects, is flexible enough to adapt to the harsh realities of her world. she does not shy from making those tough decisions, for victory is not just an outcome; it is a testament to ambition and resolve.
- during kithood, poppykit will experience a tragic event that will profoundly shape her view on what it means to survive
- poppykit will be one to think with her mind, rather than her heart. it matters not what is the right thing to do, but rather what is the most effective course of action to take. during kithood, perhaps she is presented with a series of experiences that allow her to experiment with thinking with the mind vs thinking with the heart
poppy's moral framework is complex and often subjective, allowing her to navigate the grey areas of morality with confidence. she can draw clear boundaries - actions like harming kits or torturing the innocent remain off-limits, rooted in her personal understanding of right and wrong. she believes that when one consciously chooses to threaten others, and has the capacity to fulfil the threat, they relinquish their right to protection. the consequences, then, should not be determined by proportionality but by what is necessary to eliminate the threat. this approach reveals a certain hypocrisy of course, but poppy is unperturbed by such contradictions, viewing them as inherent to the struggle for survival.
- this way of thinking will manifest as poppykit grows, interacts, and develops
- from an early age, poppykit will show confidence in her decisions. haunted by a childhood encounter with a hawk, she will carry those physical and emotional scars. surviving the attack will instil a fierce aversion to being seen as prey
- she will detest the idea of vulnerability, embodying a 'get on with it' mentality
- her petite stature will fuel her desire to prove herself, pushing her to face challenges that others might avoid
poppy's interactions are marked by a proud and unapologetic demeanour. she is openly expressive of her opinions, thriving in social settings, though she often struggles to empathise with the vulnerabilities of others. quick to share her thoughts, she finds it difficult to offer sympathy, especially in moments where she believes others might wallow in self-pity. when provoked (especially regarding her size) her temper can ignite, revealing a fierce, passionate side that is as intimidating as it is compelling.
- during kithood, in play poppykit will be naturally bold and adventurous. this will feed her self-assurance as she grows older
- poppykit will not be easily swayed by peer pressure, hinting at the emotionally formidable character she will later become
- having grown amongst other kits, this will influence poppykit's extroversion. however, she is equally capable of being content in her own company, given her naturally independent nature

stocky and sturdy, this feline is a jovial tangle of color. long, silky fur dapples in colors reminiscent of the autumn, ginger leaves, golden wheat, dark earth combining to create a vision of a cat. they are pretty in a patchwork sort of way, and with their fur always strewn with bits of leaves, it is as if they are almost sewn together in looks. their fur and frame recall their sire mirestar, with short limbs and a thick, plush pelt, but their eyes are all their dam, lilacfur - the piercing yellow of the moon on an autumnal night.

this feline is a crackling fire of witty comebacks and dumb puns. they look perfectly innocent, pelt tousled and an angelic smile pieced together carefully from the happiness they bring to others. they are eager and easy to teach, wanting to please and get things right on the first try. while they try to remain graceful with their walk, so excited is their everyday mood that often they find themself tripping to catch up with their own brain. they are, to put it lightly, a complete social butterfly, flitting from one friend to the next, as if trying to collect and store as many happy moments as they can. they're a hopeless romantic, but at the same time absolutely clueless when it comes to feelings, preferring to gossip with others about their emotions than to sort out their own. this makes them bad at picking up signals, but they loves everyone anyway, so it really does no harm. as if determined to make the aura around them pure, they practically radiate sweetness, a beam of light in the dark swamp of shadowclan.EXTROVERSION

KITHOOD ・ in kithood, tbdkit begins as a curious spark, flitting from news source to gossip, friend to family to stranger, all with the same sense of innate inquisitiveness. they begin life seeking a source of attention from anyone who will have them. tbdkit makes it their mission to befriend every cat in their clan, especially the older apprentices and warriors. they will be obsessed with who their mentor will be, and try to schmooze specific cats in order to be on their good side, "just in case." their clumsy curiosity means that they will be a bit of an inconsiderate mess, unaware of others' more subdued or hidden emotions. they will learn over time to recognize body language and hidden hints to this sort of thing, but in their kithood, many may find them annoying as a result of this ignorance. they will always be well meaning, however.
APPRENTICEHOOD ・ growing into apprenticehood, tbdpaw takes on the title of master of information within their den. a big gossip, they find the most joy in conversing with their clanmates, sharing interesting tidbits they've learned throughout the day. they will struggle with focusing on their training, causing them to fall behind and potentially have to be held back a few moons. they simply find they have better things to do than learn to hunt. their brain will move at a mile a minute, and sometimes it will seem as though their mind hasn't caught up yet. they will need a mentor who is patient and willing to come up with strategies to aid in their learning difficulties. in their late apprenticeship, they will eventually learn to pick up on social cues and represent their clan in a dignified way.
WARRIORHOOD ・ when tbdtbd becomes a warrior, they will have grown from a bouncy, annoying kit to a well rounded, competent warrior. they will not be shadowclan's most skilled hunter, nor fighter, but they will develop a rhetoric with others that makes them a good negotiator and speaker. overcoming some their differences in recognizing social cues will allow them to reach their full potential as a kind and curious cat who will do anything to help their clan. all of this is subject to change based on how they develop naturally as a character.
