[] Slow, deep breaths came from the blue tabby as mud squealched under large paws. There was absolutely nothing to be worried about, it wasn't like there was bad blood between them or anything short of pleasantries. Maybe it was the daunting fact that this was the leader of Skyclan, the end all be all of the clan, and it made things a little intimidating. Hailstone didn't know why it was so intimidating, but he felt like he had to be extra polite in his conversation or at least not as casual. Maybe it was just jitters from what he wanted to talk about, it was a large step.

A whole unknown step into an abyss that could only be described as the forest. This place had become something of special to him, the cats had welcomed him in with open arms and even though things had been tough this winter- he was proud of what they've come to. What Skyclan has become since the very day Blazestar announced it as such. Something he has been debating lately with Skyclan was the position of being a Daylight warrior. While he loved his twolegs, his home since he was little, it was time to make a decision. There wasn't a way he could be a good mentor, a good son, a good mate with a paw in each world.

With the blizzard gone, the invaision lulled and things looking more towards a poistive lighting- it was time for it all to come to a head. Hailstone had made a decision, one he had yet to share with Orangeblossom or his mother, and Blazestar was going to be the first to know about it. "So sorry to drag you out here, sir, I'm sure you had more to do than a silly patrol," Hailstone mused to the tom with his rather deep, monotoned voice and vague inclinations with a joke, "But I had a favor to ask of you, if you'll hear me out,"

Recent rains have softened the earth into slush at some points. Blazestar walks alongside Hailstone, careful not to splash his thick pale coat with mud -- it's a pain to get out, and it's a little too obvious against his cream-colored fur. The air is humid, despite the cold bite of the wind and misting sprays drizzling their pelts.

"Sometimes I need a quiet walk to clear my mind," he answers the blue tabby with a smile. "It's better with a friend."

He's suspected this wasn't a casual patrol, and Hailstone proves him right. "So sorry to drag you out here, sir, I'm sure had more to do than a silly patrol." The daylight warrior seems hesitant, and Blazestar gives him a nod to encourage him. "But I had a favor to ask of you, if you'll hear me out."

Blazestar blinks mist from his eyes, wondering what the favor could be. He wonders if Hailstone is asking for an apprentice, or extra duties -- perhaps to be closer to Orangeblossom? The flame point has noticed they seem to be fond of one another. "What's on your mind, Hailstone?" He prods.

[] Hailstone felt his lips twitch at being called a friend by Blazstar, he hoped they where not enemies that was for certain. The blue tabby cat looked at the orange tomcat for a moment before giving a soft sigh, "I have been thinking a lot recently, about Skyclan and everything, and I would like to join it full time," He came out right and said it. What had been plaguing his mind for weeks now, days even, and it itched his waking moments too. Skyclan had been something of temporary residence when he first came to the clan a couple months ago now, and he was only going to be there for one thing; his family. His mother and siblings, maybe, but that didn't seem to go over well now did it. He was close to Pinataflurry now but his siblings where still amidst the unknown.

"I would like to make this occasion special, by choosing a different name to commence my change of daylight warrior to full time warrior," Hailstone went onward as they walked along the flattened, slushy path and looked up to the sky for a moment, "That and Orangeblossom has been a big push for me to finally pick a side, can't live with a paw in each world and expect it to go well, you know?"

Blazestar listens to Hailstone's request with curiosity gleaming in his denim blue eyes. He's known some warriors to leave their Twolegs behind entirely - two of them are his lead warriors. He supposes he's seen this coming, with how much time Hailstone spends with Orangeblossom. The Ragdoll dips his head.

When Hailstone mentions he would like to choose another name, Blazestar looks at him with surprise, but he does not deny the request. "What name did you have in mind?"

When the blue tom says, "Can't live with a paw in each world and expect it to go well," Blazestar visibly flinches. Oh, how well he knows it. He says nothing, though -- he knows it was an innocent comment.
