Training sessions were... actually, Momowhisker didn't know much about what training sessions were like. He had joined at a time when joiners need not prove themselves as much as they do now, where he was free to learn skills at a snail's pace rather than engage in back-breaking exercises to learn about the best way to climb a tree. Someone who had gone through a more structured program should've been the one training an apprentice, but with saying such things out of the question to the council, the blue lynx point was stuck with his new duty. Constantly looking down (or over his shoulder) toward the Daylight Warrior in-training, Momowhisker did his best to smile whenever he locked eyes with her, a confidence in his gait not matching the uneven rhythm of his heart. This was his first time heading towards the Sandy Ravine in too many moons to count, with someone important no less, someone who could make or break his reputation within the clan - it was difficult not to feel at least a little uncomfortable! A gentle hum filled the air as he tried to still his racing thoughts and, when the training grounds finally came into view, Momowhisker didn't know whether he could feel relieved yet.
Feeling the warm sand beneath his paws, the tom made a quick gesture with his tail to tell Spice to slow down. He slowly turned his body towards her and moved to a halt at the other end of the ravine. "So... it begins," Momowhisker mewed, putting some intrigue and excitement into his voice. "So, Spicepaw. Did Hazelbeam ever teach you some cool battle moves or hunting techniques? He swore she lived with another as well, but, unwilling to put a paw in his mouth this early, decided against making a mistake. "I want to know what I'm working with before we get started on anything. No point doing the basics if you're a pro already... right?" He cocked his head towards her, waiting for an answer with the melodic tap of a hindpaw.
