.·:*¨༺ ☾ ༻¨*:·. It had been a near half-moon since Splashdances graduation, and the lifting if Graypaws inner-territory restrictions. He’d be due to join her for his first gathering this moon, though admittedly Lakemoon had let her focus stray from her sons milestone since she pulled Howlingstar from the river.

The duo walks along the same waterway now, stray golden willow leaves sweeping past their paws with the chilled leaf-fall breaths. “This portion of the river makes up our border with Skyclan,” Lakemoon finally hums, gesturing to the line of pine trees that dotted the other side. The nettle-sharp scent was a surprising comfort for the seasoned warrior, it reminded her of the first night she met Lilybloom.
“We’ll be visiting each of the three borders we share soon enough, today we’ll be working on your senses.”

Their shared border with SkyClan was ideal for the warriors' lesson today, the scent of pine far outshined that of oak or peat, especially with the breeze that ruffled at the tufts of their ears. Lakemoon leads her apprentice down a slight incline, giving way to a well-trodden clearing, the river hidden from sight by rusting reeds. Coming to a stop, she spars a quick scan of their surroundings before turning her attention towards Graypaw. “Close your eyes, tell me what you smell and what you hear.” A simple task, Lakemoon watches expectantly. Under the layer of pine-scent and sound of river ripples, Lakemoon notes a patrol had passed here recently, on the trail of a water vole, a fish leaps from the river hidden behind the foliage.
