walking around camp, pretending to be all sad and pathetic, it was all getting a bit old. how long did one have to grieve? it was no secret she wasn't close with her mentor, practically despised the molly. still, crowpaw played the role of the sad apprentice who had witnessed an oh so unfortunate death. it was driving her crazy.
luckily, she found peace under the open sky. it wasn't much like her, taking time to just sit and look at the stars. however, here she didn't have to pretend. starclan knew of her crimes, they also knew what drove her to them. surely her reasoning was justified. many have done much worse for less. she was just looking out for herself, her future. they knew that. they had to.
a quick toss of her head over both shoulders confirmed that she was alone, so crow tilted her head back up, green eyes glittering with the stars above. "ma," she greeted the stars inwardly, flopping on her back into the fluffy snow to achieve a more comfortable position. "i do it all for you. i will be great for you, i won't let anyone in my way." she added onto her thoughts, hoping they were strong enough to reach the sky. talking to the mother she never met was becoming more and more common for the girl. the mother who had lost her life to grant crowpaw hers. maybe it was delusional for her to believe that a dead cat understood her motives when crow only knew her through stories. she didn't care. the apprentice was determined to make her mother's death in turn for her life worth it.
paws crunching snow gained her attention. her head shot up from it's place nuzzled into the flurries, green eyes narrowed slightly to take in the form of someone approaching. the form she took in was a windclanner no doubt, but why were they interrupting her? how rude. "what are you sneaking up on me for? you're lucky i'm too tired to move or else i totally would have made you eat snow," crowpaw said, humor poking at her threat. she brushed off her annoyance to give the intruder a playful smile, while remaining lied down on her back.
