[Howlfire]

Although Howlpaw spent much of her time in ThunderClan, she was equal parts SkyClan. One thing she had been looking forward to as an apprentice was potentially learning how to climb. Some cats in ThunderClan could climb but they weren't as skilled as the SkyClan cats. And if Howlpaw was going to learn she would prefer it be from what she deemed the masters.

Alas, Howlpaw had not yet had the opportunity to learn, her lessons consisting of learning the territory and some basic hunting and fighting forms, which meant that she could only look up enviously as her clanmates climbed and jumped through the trees. With a long sigh, Howlpaw would come to rest her head on her paws, wishing for the time to soon arrive when she could join them.

Where was Figpaw? If you couldn't find her, look to the sky! She's probably hopping around in a big nettle tree!
What does she spy from her big nettle tree? A moping cat. Who was that tiny moping figure? Howlpaw.

With skill (though lacking grace), the red tabby descends from her perch and onto a lower branch. Rearing her head down she fixates her big orange eyes on the younger apprentice, "What'cha doinnnnnn'?" Obnoxiously she chirps her inquiry, "You look sad."​

When Howlpaw hears a voice call out to her, she does not realise it has come from above her. She looks around, frowning after not finding Figpaw until she looks up and realises the red tabby is perched up above. "Hiya, Figpaw!" Howlpaw beams, immediately perking up at seeing her. Oh, how she wished she could be up there in the branches looking down on the world. "I was thinking about climbing funnily enough," She admitted with a giggle. "When did you first start to learn how to climb?"​

"When I was a kit!" Figpaw informs, recalling the many times she had taken to climbing the pines that sat at the outskirts of camp. Many of warriors had given her pointers and by the time she was an apprentice her limbs had grown strong enough for Tallulahwing to train her on pretty advanced climbing techniques quickly. She was no master yet but for her age she was most certainly an above and beyond climber.

"I didn't get super serious until Tallulahwing started teaching me though. Why? Do you know how to climb?" You'd think Howlpaw would have to with all the trees she had in both SkyClan and ThunderClan combined! Figpaw can't help but be a bit envious, she would love to explore the trees ThunderClan's stretch of land had to offer like she has here. " Do they do climbing lessons in ThunderClan?" ​

"Did you really learn as a kit?" Howlpaw pressed. Figpaw had little reason to lie she supposed but Howlpaw couldn't imagine a kit learning how to climb. Though maybe that was because Howlpaw's time as a kit hadn't been particularly adventurous in comparison. True, she had travelled between ThunderClan and SkyClan a lot but that was hardly the same as climbing or exploring the territory.

"I don't know how to climb," She admits with a small sigh, as though this is a huge embarrassment to her. "Nobody's ever offered and it's not like ThunderClan is huge on climbing." Despite this she knows of a few cats who keep to the branches, though she doesn't think they look as at home or skilled as the SkyClan cats.​
