"I'm bored!" He declares loudly as he stomps out of the nursery, seeking out either parent. The victim of today, as is the case for most days, is Splashdance. It seems that Pebbletail was supervising the kits swimming and she wasn't far behind. Running over he slides across the ground, kicking up dust in the air from the dry dirt, at least until he slides closer to the bank. Sludgy mud and sand scoops under paw instead and he pushes it against his ma's side. "Maaaaaa" It's a whine, flopping on his back and scooting with his hind paws so he could push himself within her field of vision. The sight of his ma blocked out by the glaring sun, bathing her in a halo of light but with harsh shadows cascading down her. Effectively blocking any expression she could be making, so he just imagines that she's delighted to see him. It's unfair that everyone else gets to have what he perceives as special bonding with her because they can all swim together, what about him? He doesn't want to swim in the cold water!
Would she want to go run with him? Maybe make mud pies? Look for rocks or other bits and bobs around camp? She didn't seem that thrilled to teach him anything about warrior stuff so he held back on begging to be taught how to spar. He wriggles in the dirt, making sand-cats as he kicks his limbs and flicks his tail in an effort to push himself back over. Looking like a flipped turtle for a moment but recovering swiftly. "Can we spend time together today?" His eyes wide and pleading, he doesn't mean to twist any claw into her stomach but he can't help but feel that he misses out on the fun too sometimes.
"Can you tell me a story?" That whine is persistant, though there is that flicker of excitement caught in his eye. Wriggling as he gently knocks his head against her leg he has been working on not doing it as hard lately! Surely she's proud of that. "What did ya like to do as a kit? Did you swim aaaalllll the time or did you do anything actually fun like play in mud?" He can't help but huff at the idea of swimming. It just seemed so boring, why waste so much of your day doing that?
