Once the clan had begun to settle down from whatever happened to the sun, Glimmerpaw once again finds themself struggling with their emotions. It feels like any time Edenpaw is even near Cherrypaw, their stomach angrily rumbles and their throat fills with acid. They never expected to end up becoming someone who could feel this jealous, but they can’t deny it anymore. They need to say something, before the anger continues to simmer to the point it explodes. After a day or two has passed, they decide they need to get these feelings out. Before they become warriors…

Waiting until they find Edenpaw alone, they approach the white and black apprentice. They know they can only hide the disdain so much, but they still try despite. “Edenpaw. …Can we talk? In private?” Glimmerpaw says, and despite the hesitation, their words are the most flat they’ve been around their friend in awhile. Mustering up the energy is hard when they’re this upset.​

𓍊𓋼𓍊𓋼𓍊 〰 Large ears turn in resolute, undivided attention, a whirl of black and white fur close behind to better face a pale-furred friend. The corners of their eyes crinkle at the familiarity, and they duck forward to try to bump their nose to Glimmerpaw's cheek in greeting, though find it awkwardly withheld like there is some unseen wall between them. They don't try to pay it much attention, pinching up their brow in a quiet question as their den-mate asks for a moment alone.

"Yeah! Yeah of course," they chirp, bobbed tail twitching in anticipatory excitement. Maybe it was a surprise! Or a final hurrah hunt with both of them as apprentices (though, their fear grew more and more unshakable that they wouldn't be joining their friends on time). "Never too busy for you," they promise, teeth left on display in a wide smile, as if their own cheerfulness might bridge the gap where Glimmerpaw had none to share.​
