I FIND COMFORT IN THE SOUND AND THE SHAPE OF THE HEART ⋆⁺₊⋆

Petalnose was on her way to go on a patrol, assigned to go with the very cat she found herself sparring with in the middle of camp. The warrior supposed she was okay with it, she was quite close to disliking the other merely for disrupting her sleep and peace within camp. However, when Ripple brought her into the mix, challenging her, it got her to warm up to the other rather quickly. It seemed they both had something in common. They were both impulsive and enjoyed the thrill of a fight. She was happy to see someone had her taste to life. She was reckless, getting into any fight she could with other animals, even if it seemed risky and unfair in her paws. Atleast she had her claws and skills sharpened for the next upcoming battle or intruder. She had more of a chance to improve herself, practice made perfect.

The tall female stalked her way in a sleepy manner to where Ripplesnap slept, tapping the other on the shoulder with the back of her paw if the other warrior happened to be sleeping. "Suns coming up, sleepy head. Time to go cause problems." She joked in a monotoned voice, letting her jaws part, letting go a yawn. She spun around to make her way to the exit of the makeshift warrior den, looking back at the blue point with a motion of her head to follow her.

She narrowed her eyes with a slight smile, "Now don't wake anyone up on your way out or I'll be that cat that's caught your tongue." She whispered sharply, a teasing beam in her eyes within the reflection of the pink sky. It was a good opportunity to get her mind away from her troubles and stress. She hoped Ripplesnap wouldn't make the patrol miserable, she had been irritable with her clanmates as it is. Though, she had hopes the other warrior would prove as entertainment to her. She was intriguing to her, she didn't hesitate challenging someone who was supposed to be intimidating and unpredictable. It made her mind itch with wonder, she wanted to figure her out. Wasn't this the best opportunity?

The day prior had been rather rough on Ripplesnap, as the warrior found it hard to wake herself up in time for the patrol she was assigned for. Well... if she were being honest with herself, she wasn't the best at getting up in time anyways, so the added fatigue really made it difficult for her. But she was trying, honest!

As she felt a tap on her shoulder, she peeked open a single eye, spotting the familiar form of Petalnose. Almost immediately she felt her heart beat faster, and a wide grin spread across her face. She sat up with a stretch, tail flicking in excitement at the idea. Yes, that was right! The patrol she didn't want to wake up for was with this wonder of a cat!! Ripplesnap had been worried at first that the two of them wouldn't get along, especially seeing how upset she got when their little play-fight got initiated, but now? She held great hope inside her that the two would be great friends.

"Petalnose! Yes!! I can already tell you're gonna be so much fun to patrol with!" Fae said with a small wink, a bit of emphasis on the word 'patrol'. After all, she was the one who brought up causing problems... Who could blame faer if fae obliged? It seemed to be a prophecy of sorts, because as fae took a step to walk out of the den, faer paw came crashing down on another warrior's tail who immediately hissed in annoyance. Ripplesnap could barely manage to hold back a snicker, muttering out a soft "sorry!" before squinting faer eyes at Petalsnap in amusement. Fae quickly exited the den, tail swaying softly with faer steps.

As soon as the duo exited the den, the warrior couldn't help the small giggle that fell from faer throat. "Oopsie!!! Aw stars, does that mean you've got my tongue now?" Ripplesnap spoke softly, sticking faer tongue out at the other. "Let's go! I'll try to be on my best behavior over here," she grinned, eyes shimmering in excitement.

Petalnose cringed a bit at faer volume, though she tried to smile through the cringe. Her ears flattened against her head in worry of waking up her fellow clanmates. She lifted her paw to her lips, attempting to signal to be quiet. However, it didn't seem like fae got the message as Ripplesnap stepped on a warriors tail. Petalnose drug her paw over her face in embarrassment, rolling her eyes towards faer and shaking her head. "Come on then, loud mouth." She teased in a serious tone, flicking her tail in direction of the exit.

She gazed around the territory as they exited, blinking her eyes rapidly to adjust to the change in light. The she-cat then gazed down at Ripplesnap as fae responded to her teasing threat. When fae stuck out faer tongue she would swipe swiftly in between them, careful to not actually strike faer. "Oh don't test me." She grumbled in a lighthearted manner, continuing to walk on. "Alright, I was instructed to take patrol near Thunderclan's border. Maybe we can poke some fun at them if any are there. If it gets boring and they're not there, I'm sure your creative mind has some ideas, yes?" She tipped her head to the side to gaze down at Ripplesnap, looking for approval or an idea that would strike the enthusiastic warrior. Fae was easy to read at times for her in result of faer enthusiasm. That was something she took comfort and ease to. At the same time, she knew she'd have to keep on her toes, as easy as fae was to read, she knew how to stir something without hesitation. She knew that from their spar together. The fellow warrior annoyed her at times but she had to admit, she found faer quite entertaining. Ripplesnap had her taste in fun.
