The concrete maze that was Twolegplace would never make sense to Coyote. While she may have grown up here with her odd little family it still eluded her, this was a cruel and unforgiving home. A harsh landscape with harsher denizens, filled with monsters and twolegs- not to mention the other rogues. In her opinion it was survival of the fittest, she couldn't let herself grow to trust anyone that wasn't from her family. A harsh life had built a harsh cat, Coyote cuts corners where she can, anyone she crosses is met with a warning hiss or a snide remark if she was feeling particularly generous. Why wouldn't she after all? What would she truly benefit from being kind? Being kind wouldn't feed her or keep her safe from harm.

So when she turns the corner down an alleyway there is immediate relief to not see another cat lingering. There's an unfamiliar scent as she takes a moment to assess her surroundings, undeniably a cat and not pleasant enough to be a kittypet. Fur bristles as she climbs up the strange box that often housed salvation for a growling stomach, the food was often cold and to be perfectly honest she held no interest in whatever prey the Twolegs ate. However, their prey attracted her own and that's where fortune strikes. As she perched on the prey box she noticed that unfamiliar cat scent grow stronger, glancing up from her objective only to meet the mismatched gaze of a stranger. He looked peculiar, pelt adorned in wine and rich oaks and with curled ears to match, unfortunately she was much more focused on being fed then some stranger. "Leave my sight" is hissed his way in place of a hello, tail lashing as she turned her attention back to the potential prey.

A fat mouse scurries just within the reach of an outstretched paw and she would be remiss to not take this opportunity. It's over in an instant, she strikes and claws pierce the little rodent with relative ease, letting a satisfied huff escape her maw as she attempted to drag it out of the prey box. Unfortunately for her it wasn't only her claw that reached out, the strangers had also found purchase on the mouse's flesh. The huff that escapes her this time is one of frustration as she fixes him a pointed glare "I found this first, go find another mouse" her tone booked no argument, not respecting the other rogue to consider a moment of respect or cordiality.
