((Baby commits murder again but because her rabbit was stolen ))

Azaleapaw prowled through the grass like a viper on the hunt, silently weaving through it like she were water. She was hunting, looking for prey to bring to a clan that wouldn't even blink if she died. She had every opportunity to run, to leave and never look back. But that would be admitting defeat. She couldn't beat them if she wasn't here.

Every waking moment was one full of seething. She had become an expert at hiding her emotions, though her strength in doing so was being tested. Her heart was full of loathing and hatred, and she did her best to keep it inside, hidden away where it wouldn't cause her trouble.

The scent of a rabbit caught her attention and she began homing in on her target. Slowly.... Slowly.....

It was within her sights. Teeth bared and ready to bite, she prepared to pounce.... When a flash of white and ginger fur struck first. A rogue, hunting on their territory, claiming their prey....

She had a new target.

She sprung from the grass and latched onto the other feline's neck and knocking them off the rabbit. The molly thrashed and shoved her off, but Azaleapaw was prepared for such an instance. She simply rolled onto her feet and sprung back at her. Furious yowls and screeches filled the air as the two fought, and Azaleapaw felt something akin to excitement when her claws tore through flesh.

The molly was larger than her and pinned her easily through force, but Azaleapaw kept her claws sharp for a reason. She raked them down the soft underbelly of her enemy and twisted out of her grip, springing upward to ram her back into the mollys now wounded belly.

Her enemy yowled in pain as she was bucked off, and her next angry screech was cut short as Azaleapaw latched her fangs into her throat and bit down as hard as she could, tearing away flesh.

The fight was over, and Azaleapaw was covered in the blood of her enemy. This was the second time she had killed. But this time..... This time felt more exhilarating. She turned to pick up the rabbit her enemy had so kindly killed for her.

She figured she would have company soon, the fight wasn't exactly quiet. She stayed put for the time being. She wanted anyone who found her to know that she had killed this rogue. Yes, the sorry little kittypet tore out the throat of another cat, letting the blood pool around her paws and drip from her muzzle, staining the white fur of her chest and face.

.°☀ AND IF IT EVER STARTS TO FEEL BAD, LITTLE FANG

Sunflowerpaw was drawn by the sounds of a fight, something the young apprentice was far from accustomed to hearing. It sounded far too intense for the Clanmate scuffles they are used to... An invasion, perhaps? Or something else? Muscles tense, the tortie's paws draw closer, closer... The smell of blood fills their nose, but their curiosity remains unrelenting. When they reach the source, they freeze, wide golden eyes staring at the murderer.

Azaleapaw, one of the other apprentices.

They don't recognize who she's killed.

Blood is strewn about the scene, drenching Azaleapaw's fur, red on blue, the unknown molly lying mangled like the rabbit the apprentice holds in her jaws. Sunflowerpaw feels sick. They do not dare move, staring straight at Azaleapaw, still as the dead. It is only after a few heartbeats have passed that they tilt their head slightly in questioning, face still perfectly blank. Why, they silently ask, why did she do this? They don't understand.

He had been present nearby, stalking after the apprentice. After the recent murder by those rogues, Tigerfrost was not so keen on allowing apprentices to roam the moors by themselves, at least not without a Warrior nearby, close enough to help if needed. So, having seen Azaleapaw leave camp, he had prowled quietly after her, initially unseen as he tracked her by scent. The chimera had always had a strong drive for independence, and as such, he encouraged it among WindClan's youth. In times like these however, that was just simply too dangerous to risk. If that rogue still hunted the borders, then the clan could not afford to risk their future warriors.

So, as he prowled through towering grass, the sudden shriek of two battling cats is enough to to send not only the prey running, but Tigerfrost too. If that rogue had returned, had gotten their fangs on a clan-mate, he'd be sure that they would not escape a second time. He flings himself across the moor, rushing in the direction of the noise, but by the time Tigerfrost reaches the scene, it's already over. Quiet, and painted with blood. The wind carries a metallic scent, and among the tall grasses, a body rested in eerie silence. Nearby is none other than Azaleapaw, a large rabbit in her jaws. Had the rogue tried to steal it from her? If so, then Tigerfrost feels no sympathy. A single rabbit could feed three or four adult cats, that was no simple prize to lose to an outsider.

"You did this?" The Lead Warrior finally speaks toward her, his eyes briefly shifting toward Sunflowerpaw nearby, pupils flashing with irritation that they, too, appeared to have been out on the territory alone. Vision returns to the body, cold as ice despite the burning firelight. Many in the clan did not view Azaleapaw favorably, given her kittypet roots. Tigerfrost himself held a particular distaste toward such things, so perhaps there was some disbelief in what he was seeing here, an apprentice such as her, taking the life of a thieving rogue. Well... perhaps Azaleapaw would turn out to be a decent WindClanner after all.

"Are you injured?" Tigerfrost questions the bloodied apprentice. She was painted in crimson, her fur caked with the stuff. How much of it was actually her's? Vulturemask would likely need to take a look at her. As for the rest of the clan... some would not view this scene very favorably. Tigerfrost, however, is quite pleased. If the trespassing rogue had been trying to steal prey, or attack WindClanners, then their fate was deserved. It was truly that simple to the brute's wintry mind. The borders of the territory were marked for a reason. Those who dared to stray over should not be surprised when they are met with tooth and claw.

But... this was the second rogue to disregard WindClan's marked borders in less than a moon. This could have been the same one who had killed Branchfall, but given how quickly she had been taken down by a mere apprentice, Tigerfrost is not so certain. If this was indeed a different rogue, then WindClan clearly had an issue that needed to be addressed. Rogues, crossing WindClan borders, attacking members of the clan. Transgressions that would not be tolerated, but nonetheless a threat that would need precaution. His flaming eyes shift from Azaleapaw to Sunflowerpaw, firm and icy. Though he could be proud of his clan-mate for making the kill, he would not deny that this situation was one that called for stern action.

"This is the second time a rogue has crossed our borders and attacked a member of WindClan." Tigerfrost speaks thunder from his jaws, "Neither of you leave camp without a Warrior again. That goes for every apprentice, unless Sootstar herself says otherwise." Truthfully, it should have been known already, but clearly the clan's youth needed a reminder. With rogues prowling over the border without any regard for the scent lines, WindClan could not simply take needless chances by allowing apprentices to roam the moors alone. One cat had already been murdered. Azaleapaw had shown her skill, but had nontheless been lucky to survive this altercation.

And WindClan could not simply rely on luck.

There was tension at the air at this site- the metallic thickness, sanguine tendrils that enveloped your senses... blood was a whisper on the wind one could never ignore, though it seemed Mallowlark was not the only one. Azaleapaw stands, murderous- oh, oh, another touched by the madness!

Too bad that another Windclanner did not lay at her feet- but perhaps that would have been too soon a spiral. The tendrils of the moor had compelled her to kill in this way, surely- to paint the moor claret with the display. She had lost her mind, let it slip a little- she was the perfect one to begin the decomposition, if she could tear apart this madly! More of them would fall into this abyss eventually- they'd tear each other apart like they razed and rent rogues, and their corpses would carpet the rebirth of his home.

"Wow!" Mallowlark exclaimed, somewhat taken aback by the display- though it was difficult to tell from the laughter that shuddered from his maw, as incessant and dissonant as ever. And of course- how could he let falter his smile? He tiptoed around the pools of scarlet, wide eyes studying the wounds, the spilled ichor... "Gonna be difficult to- HAH, to scoop all that up to bury!" he cackled, an ill-timed joke made as a tar dipped paw gestured to the mess of gore that shifted the ground, turned the grass-blades into coffin-bearers. He could not help but collapse into insistent laughter, barely a breath taken- they were succumbing to it!

STEADY THE RIGHTS AND THE WRONGS
periwinklepaw | 08 months | demi-boy | he/they | physically easy (pacifist) | mentally easy | attack in bold #ccccff
The boys mind is a jumble - a mixed up mess of confusing and conflicting thoughts and emotions. He can no longer tell right from wrong or up from down. Who is friend and who is foe. Is anything even worth something? Would he be better off giving up? Would it be better off to just let himself be chased away for his sins? Or should he fight- go against everything he believes in for the sake of those few he knows he can trust.

Hunting is all he knows how to do in moments like this - to get lost in the chase, to focus upon his task so much the rest of the world simply no longer exists. Mind and heart empty of all thoughts except is prey. It is in this strange sort of mindset that he stumbles upon the scene before him - azaleapaw, covered in blood, a dead body beside her. The sight is... sickening - his stomach is already rolling, other faces and possibilities flashing through his minds eye in a way that has him freeing for a moment in terror. When he snaps out of it, he's no less worried, though for other reasons.

"A-a-are you ok-kay!" his voice comes out a bit frantic, as he scrambles to cross the distance to check her over. "sh-should i go g-g-g-get vulture-?" What does it matter if she killed a cat - a rogue who had no business here at that. a rogue who had probably deserved death, who might've hurt her. hurt his friend. What if she had died - what if she'd left him to join the stars, just like wisteriapaw? He doesn't think he could take that. And so he steadfastly ignoring his own pain, ignores the lifeless form upon the ground, and focuses on the bloodstained molly instead. It's all he can do.

She expected to be found, but she wished it wasn't Sunflowerpaw. The look in his eyes almost made her feel bad for killing the rogue. Made her feel guilty.

"She started it." She said, shuffling her paws.

Technically Azaleapaw started it.... But the molly shouldn't have been here in the first place, so!!!!

Tigerfrost approached then, asking if it was her who made this mess. She did her best not to smile, that would freak out poor Sunflowerpaw even more.

"Yes. She was hunting the rabbit I was after... So I attacked. " She said. Part of her wondered if it was the same rogue who killed Branchfall.

She supposed she earned the warning, though. She shouldn't be out here on her own. But how will she prove herself if she's stuck in camp?

"Yes, Tigerfrost." She responded. Just more reason to bother Mintshade.

She started wiping the excess blood from her maw. This was going to stain her for a bit, wasn't it. Mallowlark approached and she couldn't help but give a chuckle at his words. It really would be difficult to scoop this goop!

"Do you think the grass appreciates it?" She asked. Would. Would the grass turn red if it absorbed blood instead of water??? Guess she'll find out!

And then Periwinklepaw arrived, worried for her wellbeing. It touched her, that he cared so much.

"
I'm okay, just a few scratches on my shoulders." She said, hoping it would reassure him.

"I'll have Vulturemask look at them when I get.....All this off." She said, looking herself over. She sure was just covered in blood, huh. Perhaps the water was warm enough now that she could dip into it and not freeze.

More arrive to the scene, which is understandable enough. The fight hadn't exactly been quiet, after all. Mallowlark's cackle puts the dusty hued tabby on edge, but he supposed that at this point, such mannerisms from that one were to be completely expected. And... this pale warrior did make a point. Cleaning this mess up was not going be a very pleasant experience. Nonetheless, he's not keen to risk exposing WindClan to the disease that came from festering rot. The corpse would have to be disposed of, preferably outside of their windswept territory. From there, the vultures could devour the rogue, for all he really cared.

Eyes shift briefly toward Periwinklepaw, who frets over their fellow apprentice. With that amount of blood, it was hard to tell which of it was the rogue's, and which of it belonged to Azaleapaw. She claimed to only have endured a few lacerations to her shoulders, but adrenaline had a nasty habit of masking one's pain. Vulturemask would need to look her over.

"Good work." Rare praise from the chimera, but the apprentice had defended WindClan's borders, and prey, just as any WindClanner would be expected. "We need to get back to camp. You need to see Vulturemask, and I need to let Sootstar know what has happened. Sunflowerpaw, why don't you carry that rabbit so Azaleapaw can rest a bit?" The tom suggests with a flick of his tail. Then, he looks back toward the other two apprentices, and Mallowlark as well, gesturing that they should follow. Quite frankly, he'd have preferred to stay behind and get rid of the body as soon as possible, but he isn't so sure about sending Mallowlark along with the three apprentices without additional oversight.
