☾ ⋆*・゚ From a distance, he could appreciate the river, as he always has and always will. He only had to wait for someone to be cunning enough to catch one; they were in there. They preferred the depth of the riverbed, and they rarely skimmed the surface of the water. Instead, they lurked on the riverbed. The idea of being so far below the surface made Rockpaw shudder, and he dug his claws into the earth to reassure himself that he was safely on land.

That was simply too big of a risk for Rockpaw to take; the river was home to too many creatures, and there were too many ways to get stuck beneath the waves and drown. On land, he could see beneath his paws and was not in danger of being knocked unconscious by the current or having something brush up against him that he couldn't see.

After all, relaxing on land wasn't all that horrible he reasoned. Rockpaw moved towards a covered area before suddenly freezing. An astonishing sight laid on the freshly killed pile, a catfish, in all its slimy silver glory dwarfed the the other fish around it. He was completely normal about walking over too it and admiring its glory.

"Whoa, look at the size of it. Oh, those whiskers are so long; I've never seen one with red fins and a white belly before." Rockpaw noted each detail in amazement. He tilted his head, pawing at the fish's soft belly, which was nearly as long as he was. "I can't believe anybody caught this! It is almost as big as I am! I'm wonder how old it is to get this big."

Blackkit have always been passionate about the water ever since even when she was only a full moon passing. It was unusual to those terrible tomcats, yet, while her adoptive father would be silently impressed about it, a particular sweet molly had only been amazed by her endless love for water. It's beautiful, the gentle gold beauty told Blackkit, a sun rising above sea. To be able to only always love such a grand terrifying thing, you will conquer over it all one day.

The excited gushing ring high across the camp from the freshly killed pile. It breaks Blackkit's attention, herself once in deep focus on her breathing by the river trail. Ears perking up as to try hearing better, her head tilts to find an apprentice staring at the dead preys in deep curiosity. At the mention of "fins," Blackkit's eye widen a bit. She wonders what kind of fish is he talking about. This must be an uncommon kind, based on his reaction full of amazement.

Though, given a specific detail that stands out the most to her, instantly, while she runs over to the apprentice, Blackkit's excitement starts to flare across her as the starting fire. Not once does it falter. 'I want to be his best friend!' she thinks, hoping to seek a special friendship with Rockpaw. It's not often she knows one with a passion for fishes, so, she must! "That's a catfish!" Blackkit exclaims in glee before she stops by, almost tripping over the other.

All sparkly eyed at Rockpaw's knowledge, Blackkit only recovers and glancing over the pile, a loud surprised gasp falls from her. The large fish is presented before them in stunning rare colours, though, its long whiskers still match the description of a common kind. She had seen this type several times in that wonderful place. It's incredible what the world can bear. "It's named after the whiskers that look like ours!... Woowww, this looks just so amazing!"

With most slow care, Blackkit presses her forepaw against the catfish's side. Her breath gets caught by the significance it still holds even after its demise. "Did you know that they can also look like in white with black dots or even complete yellow?!" she eagerly asks Rockpaw, "I heard yellow is its rare colour... Though, with a size like this, it should be at a warrior cat's age!" Since stranded in RiverClan, this is the most response one can get from her...

She just adores fishes so much!

Blackkit faces Rockpaw with the most stunning smile and brightest blue heart.

"That's so COOL that you know and enjoy fishes a lot!" 'Just like me!'

Her amber eyes never stop twinkling.

The lead warrior knows exactly what that feeling is like.... admiring the river from a distance, but then feeling struck with nerves when you approach the riverbank. Foxtail wasn't that scared of the water when he was a kit. He remembers playing with his littermates and splashing in the water that surrounded camp.... with their mother's supervision. He'd be lying if he claimed he wasn't excited for swimming lessons, but when he became an apprentice, most rivers in their territory were mostly, or partly frozen. He remembers that fateful day as if it was yesterday... falling into a ice cold river. For moons after, he had refused to swim... refused to get anything more than his paw wet. His time as a dry-paw was short lived, as his mentor forced him to swim. After seeing the disgust in his mentor's demeanor, he forced himself to get used to the water.... as he didn't want to see the shame in his clanmate's eyes.

Even though his time as a dry-paw was short lived, his nervousness around the water never truly left him. For the longest time he would only swim when needed, but times have changed. Nowadays, the lead warrior has been working on overcoming his fear, and he would say that he's been growing more comfortable with leisurely swims.... but there are still instances where he'll hesitate to jump in.

Foxtail approaches the prey-pile, his nose wrinkling at the fresh smell of fish. It's been a long day full of hard work, and his belly rumbles with hunger. As he was looking at their selection for today, his ears prick up at the sound of Rockpaw's voice. The tricolored tom looks up to see the amazement in the young apprentice's eyes, and the tom lightly smiles. "It's q-quite massive, isn't it?" The lead warrior mews with a flick of an ear, glancing over at the catfish. Catfish don't go down without a fight, whomever managed to catch this is quite the hunter. "....They aren't e-easy to catch, but they are quite the f-feast!" There's no way any warrior can finish a catfish by themselves; his stomach hurts just at the thought of it!

He briefly looks over to Blackkit, whom seemed to approach the prey-pile around the same time. He remembers them now, weren't they the kitten that washed up on shore days ago? He's glad to see that they've seemed to recover quite well, they seem to have lots of energy in them! "Wow, you know a lot about c-catfish," The lead warrior admires with a swish of his tail, "Where did y-you learn all of that?" It's impressive to him, not every cat is going to know about the fish that swim in their rivers... it's admirable that Blackkit seems so passionate about it!
