They had been struggling rather hard lately. With their sister disappearing, they had found themselves rather depressed and looking for her always. Like she was just hiding around the corner or something as a prank. They still had trouble accepting that they might not ever see Troutsnout ever again and the thought terrified them. The young apprentice though was trying to keep themselves busy and they had been looking around camp for a moment. Midnightpaw was busy doing something else and they had wanted to try to make another friend of some sort. They werent very good at making friends but they truly wanted to try, plus with the increase of twolegs and trash maybe they could do some good as well?

Magpiepaw shook their head slightly and sighed heavily to themselves as they felt silly in that moment. Trout would come back to them- it would just take some time to do so. Right? They had to hope at least a little bit because if they didnt then they’d surely loose their mind. The young apprentice flicked their tail behind them idly and then sighed heavily, shoulders sagging slightly before shaking out their chimera coat. They had to find something to do and it was just going to take a minute of not trying to spiral to do it.

The brown and black cat with high white flicked blue and yellow eyes around for a moment before spotting a silver tabby coat- Dizzypaw. They didnt know much about the cat but they shared a den and Dizzypaw seemed rather kind in any case. Maybe they could enlist their help? They hoped so really as it was becoming rather hard to be alone in camp now. Midnightpaw could only do so much and they wondered if the ginger and black cat was even a good friend to begin with- they shook their head once more. Right, no distractions.

Magpiepaw wondered over to where Dizzypaw was, and offered a slight smile, “Hey Dizzypaw! Do you wanna go fishing for trash and real fish with me? Could use some help picking things up”

"FATE IS A SUNDRESS" ˚୭ .ೃ⁀➷ tags ── NO MATTER HOW much happens about the camp, or within RiverClan territory, Dizzypaw doesn't miss the lack of pep in Magpiepaw's step. The two of them share the sentiment of being close in proximity, but not in friendship - though Dizzypaw always wishes it was in friendship. Somewhere, though, she must wonder if she's overextending her welcome, over-encroaching where one wants to be left alone. She is content to stay to herself in matters such as this. It's none of her business.

It comes as somewhat of a surprise, then, when the pretty mottled apprentice approaches Dizzypaw and addresses her by name. She blinks hazel eyes once, twice. Technically their inferior, Dizzypaw cannot initially fathom why Magpiepaw would seek her out... though, maybe the gentle offering to be a boon of familiarity in a hard time has been noticed. Dizzypaw finds her maw slipping into a smile.

"Sure!" is her cheery response. Dizzypaw rises to her feet and shakes, as though already preparing for the feeling of water like lead in her long coat. They do make a good point - the Twoleg litter in the river feels as though it rivals the stock of fish, ebbing and flowing with the current. "Where should we start? I think a good dent has been made within camp, so maybe let's venture out a little?" As much as they can, at least. Dizzypaw should probably rope in her mentor... Nah. It'll be fine.

They wanted to befriend the she-cat for certain, or well try to in the least. They wanted more friend but they found being social hard to do now a days. They more or less wanted to lay down and sleep for hours on end but that wasnt productive and rather annoying to their den mates. Still, they wanted to just get out of camp and just- be away for a while. Still, they awkwardly twitched their ear as the young apprentice agreed with cheery disposition. What they wouldn’t give for the same sentiment.

They glance to her and nodded in agreement, gruffly responding with a grumble of, “Yeah that sounds fine- maybe closer to the water? That seems to be where most of it is popping up” They responded and flicked their tail back and forth behind them. A strong sense of a need to snap at the silvery cat flooded over them and they had to swallow it back. So they couldnt be mean to Dizzypaw, she hadnt done anything to warrant it. Maybe it was their own feelings getting in the way of things- it was untelling. Still, Magpiepaw gestured with their head towards camp entrance, “Cmon, we can walk around the outside of camp and pick up stuff too” Then turned to pad towards that direction, mumbling something to themselves under their breath about stinky twolegs and their trash.

The outside of camp was covered with reeds and brush, though they didnt spot any trash right away. Suppose it’d be further down or closer to the water as twolegs tended to throw everything into the water anyway. Plus something that Foxtail found was clear and almost see-through, so things could be hidden too right? Or inside of fish? Magpiepaw scrunched up their nose a bit before glancing to their lighter-colored counterpart, “So, how is your training going?TRy to be social, try to be social they kept chanting to themselves.
