With the ill cats moved to the badger set, and the journey cats having departed at the gathering, WindClan's camp was notably quieter than it had been for, well, all of Sunlitkit's life. While others used to the bustle of activity might find the quiet to be unnerving, Sunlitkit had grown a quick appreciation for no longer running the risk of always bumping into the paws of someone she didn't know well. Stumbling through conversations was something she only had so much energy for, and it left the young molly exhausted even if the day was young. It was almost embarrassing, following behind her fathers who were both much more charismatic than she was while her siblings chatted at her side being much more sociable than her. But... Sunlitkit knew she was loved, so she didn't mind stumbling where her family could run. In a bid to not only spend her time tailing them around, and with Scorchpaw now gone too, Sunlitkit had ended up with alone time in her paws. Not that she had to remain alone; there was almost always a cluster of cats around the pile of little dead things, a steady stream of cats moving in and out of tunnels, and injured patients always eager for company in her ðir's den.
But... talking just seemed like a lot, today. Sunlitkit instead sat outside of the medicine den, little head angled up toward a cloudless sky. Why was it so cold out, when the sun was shining? Wasn't the sun supposed to be warm? Sunstride was certainly warm. She loved her Papa. He was bright like the sun, too, but um... well... he didn't hurt to look at. Sunlitkit's eyes stung as she stared unblinkingly upwards. Was she painful to look at? Sunlit? She wasn't bright like the sun, or like her Papa, though. Even Featherkit reminded her more of the sun with her brother's wide yellow eyes. She was more like gorse, brown and bushy. She did like being named after her Papa, though.
Sunlitkit blinked in her thoughts, eyes watering and beginning to leak down her cheeks as she continued to stare straight upwards at the sun.
