APPEARANCE & AESTHETICS ⁀✿

—— Sorrelpaw is an unimpressive feline physically, and though not necessarily ugly, her plain appearance is where some of her hidden insecurities dwell. She is a rather small and weak creature, born prematurely and sickly in kittenhood. Her stature is far below average and she stands on gangly legs and a petite frame. Splotched with inky blacks, vibrant reds, and icy whites, Sorrelpaw's calico fur is about the only thing beautiful about her, though she envies the more uncommon colors of some of her Clanmates and the other cats in the forest. Next to her small size, she hates her face most of all — features drooping in an almost permanent frown, she looks unhappy, uninviting (which she can be, really). Her face is dull, kittenlike and round, and her pale yellow eyes do her no favors in the beauty department either.

—— Craving the attention and affection of not only her neglectful parents but her Clan, Sorrelpaw goes to great lengths and bounds to prove herself. Self-conscious of her small stature and hungry for the nurturing she never received as a kit, she has grown rather cold, hyper-focused on being seen by those around her as someone who is capable of great things. Sorrelpaw is determined to complete her training as an apprentice and blossom into one of WindClan's most prominent warriors. She is resilient, a fighter, rising from the ashes of failure and hardship whenever it rears its ugly head. Above all, she is loyal to her Clan, her friends and family, and will do anything to defend and protect them even if it seems like she doesn't care for them sometimes. Despite the internal struggle she faces, Sorrelpaw puts on a composed front, seeming calm and collected most of the time, though that is not always the case (and often backfires when she bottles up too many of her emotions). She is a rather peculiar sort, beating to the sound of her own drum, not carrying for normalities and preferring to do things her own way to succeed. Sorrelpaw also has a very stern demeanor, humorless and brash most of the time. Though obedient to her betters, she often takes a rather abrasive and haughty approach with others her own age. Really, it's misplaced and false confidence, manifesting from her insecurities she's so safely tucked away, but it makes her appear harsh, arrogant, and selfish to others and as a consequence, hard for her to make and retain friendships among her peers.
