Puddlekit had learnt that it's actually normal for kits younger than her to always be in the nursery, she had realised that herself and her littermates had joined the clan in a rare quiet spot but that had steadily increased over the moons. The chimera used to hate it but now she doesn't mind, this means there are younger kits in the nursery. Kits that she can maybe make friends with sure but kits that she has power over, kits who will believe her if she says something. The she-kit likes her denmates that are gullible like that, makes it easier to make them listen to the games that she wants to play (which isn't really games at all as opposed to her making them follow her around camp).

Ashenfall and Flintwish's kits are among the group of younger kits that she likes, they're nice and seem good willed. Today is a test to see if that's true now that they're a little older. She had picked apart a lizard the other day to eat, hiding the skull in her nest to let it dry from whatever gore she couldn't quite pick clean. The aim wasn't to terrify Promisekit after all, it was just to see if he is a friend worth keeping.

"Promisekit look!" she calls out from across the camp before picking up the skull gingerly between milk teeth. Carrying it over towards the tom with a painfully neutral trademark expression. "It's a rat skull, isn't that cool?" Despite her question there is no excitement in her tone, a slight glimmer in her eyes shows that she's excited though. In actuality the skull she is presenting the younger kit is one belonging to a lizard, she is aware of this but this is a test of knowledge, to know just how high of a regard she should hold Promisekit in.
