"If we're lucky, we might find something before we even get to the Rockpile." Sweetnose mews. Birds chitter above pointed ears as the trio leave camp in the direction of the Rockpile, and the warrior glances up at the canopy. Would it be worthwhile scaling the trees on the way? Shrewflight had said to split up between the ground and the trees, but there was nothing saying that they couldn't just start on the ground and then scale a tree later ...
The scent of a mouse much closer to their patrol has Sweetnose dropping to the ground in a well-practised crouch. Any potential questions from their Clanmates go ignored in favour of nose-to-ground tracking, fur bristling with a small excitement as they trail their quarry. It's not long before they pounce, surfacing with a small mouse clutched between sharp teeth.
