can we go out tonight .. sneaking out

Perhaps it wasn't the strangest thing to see, a cat out in the midst of the moonlight. Plenty of warriors across all five Clans were more attuned to the trail of moonlight. Using the cover of night to hunt what creatures were about, keeping themselves hidden from any predators that lurked around. Apple Stem knew this as well from the time she had lived within the Pine Colony with her family, but after she and Alice had returned to the shelter of their two-legs upon SkyClans formation, she wasn't ever seen in the territories after sundown.

While she was within her twolegs den, the pointed molly had laid on the windowsill. Watching the lights of monsters flash by, tumbling and growling in their wake. While normally it lulled her to sleep, she felt incredibly restless. The creaking of a door caught her attention and, curiously, Apple Stem approached to investigate. It appeared to be a late night patrol from her own twolegs as they carried their foreign twoleg items outside, leaving the door wide open.

It had been some time since she had spent the night under the stars.

Without a seconds more of hesitation, Apple Stem left her twoleg shelter for SkyClan. Confident paws stepped through the border with ease as she still carried the heavy scent of the pines as any of her other Clanmates. She followed the path of gentle luminescence, staying in the soft light until she came across the Rockpile. "You look so different in the dark." Her gaze swept across the stones as she found a suitable place to settle and watch the stars. Apple Stem exhaled a pleasant sigh as she stared up at the twinkling speckles. "I miss the moonlight." She mused aloud, mostly to herself. She wondered briefly if she should bother returning to her home at all for the night, but the cool breeze against her thick pelt felt much nicer than the stagnant air she had left.

He is restless tonight; kept from a night of peaceful dreamsleep, instead wandering camp like a blood - soaked wraith. On any other night, he might attribute this to rest earned earlier. High in the sky, sun - stretched... it was where he most preferred to lounge; where there were no leaves or branches to get between him and the sun... Though he supposes, it was too late for that, in another sense.

He has not slept today; not yet. He has spent much of his time tucked inside his den, keeping a weary eye on the fallen warrior restless in her makeshift nest. For such a reason, he hesitates to show his face at all. But of course– the healer could never be sick. He has seem ailment after ailment, and for as long as he can remember, he has never wheezed, nor toppled, nor sniffled for any reason other than newleaf pollen. Others had thought him remarkable for it, but he supposes Mother had always known.

His face a gloomy one, when moonlight shines down upon it. He is perhaps wearier than he's ever been, but the stars would make it better. ...They usually do, anywho.

Dawnglare's paws carry him to place unknown. And– he is... perhaps ignorant to the other face in the gloom, mind instead wandering about the ghosts in his den. It's dangerous to think, really. He would rather she not die. He would rather Fireflypaw remain in the land of the living... And Mallowlark–

" Oh,, " well, there was someone else here. The moon shined kindly as well, and the thought of that never being true sets a frown upon his face. With only the sun to brighten the sky, he might starve. " The moonlight is here, " he reminds her.

  • OOC:
  • ( 𝙒𝙃𝙔'𝘿 𝙄𝙏 𝙏𝘼𝙆𝙀 𝙎𝙊 𝙇𝙊𝙉𝙂? ) DAWNGLARE Medicine Cat of SkyClan. Mentoring Fireflypaw
—— He / him , deeply confused by the use of other pronouns
—— Currently 54 moons old. Mated to Mallowlark

Unsettling and strange, Dawnglare bears a unique perception to the world and stars above on top of a generally unpleasant disposition. Holds others to uniquely impossible standards and himself undeniably above the rest.
Currently in an era of questioning; upset and uncomfortable by things he should not be.
Mood is decided by dice - rolls per thread, with the exception of some important threads
