Twinklepaw could swear up and down to the stars that as the weather threatened to grow colder so did their clanmates. She can understand that resources that are once deemed as bountiful in warmer climates tend to dwindle in the colder seasons. Leaf bare was right around the corner seemed to be a common phrase used once it was no longer Green leaf. She didn’t really get it, because Leaf-fall had only just begun if the leaves in the trees were any good indication. The warriors started to become serious a little too early in her humble opinion.
Maybe once the river grew colder she would believe the steely warnings given by her elders. For now the water was pleasant, still carrying some warmth from the sun's rays. She sat by the edge of the riverbank, peering over at the steadily flowing water, a hunters perch but not for actual prey. Taking an interest at the reflection of the water, how warped mirrors of reeds danced between the currents consistently shifting form. The glimmer of the water itself that graced her eyes as the sun shone unimpeded by a barricade of clouds, a sight she will grow to miss when the days turn extra dreary.
Of course her own reflection danced in those currents, she tried to not be a creature of vanity so her gaze didn’t linger. What was of interest was the presence of another cat approaching, shadow cast along the ground. Threatening to touch the water but not quite there yet. Whatever is said to her goes unheard as Twinklepaw becomes aware of a fun opportunity. “Oh hey, you got a little something there” she turned her head to smile pleasantly at her clanmate.
A blue tinged paw creeps towards the river's waters, only to deftly strike, splashing the cat beside her with a trill of laughter. Wherever the spray of water lands on it's target or not she will face them properly, tail sweeping across the ground. “Hmm well! It’s gone now at least” there’s a lack of malice in her words, just a mischievous grin.
