COUNTER STRIKE | LIVIDPAW

Just as she felt she'd outgrown the Nursery, Bloodpaw now felt too big for the apprentice's den. She had always been a larger feline, stocky in build and taller than her siblings, but now more than ever she found it difficult to keep all four paws within her nest without accidentally kicking a neighbour. There were few times when the den was quiet enough for it to not be a problem - this was one of them nights. With patrols being fuller than usual, most of the warrior's apprentices had been sent onto the territory, leaving the cinnamon tabby enough room to splay her limbs out without fear. One flopped out in each direction as she lay on her belly, her chin propped up by knotted moss as her gaze was blearily cast over the den. Even with the new relaxing position, sleep did not come easy to the cinnamon tabby.

Her mind easily grew restless with what had been and what could be - both of the good and bad mixed in a storm that made going to bed a chore. Again, though, the Stars were on her side. Bloodpaw watched a dark figure walk into the apprentice's den, a pair of dead, blue eyes not even giving her a second glance. She didn't think she liked Lividpaw nearly as much as his brother, but as with most cats, he was perfectly tolerable, if not a little distant. Perhaps he would open up with some questions - and, even if he didn't, she would ask them anyways. The she-cat raised her head, a toothy smile stretched from ear to ear as she tried to nudge him as he passed. "Hey Livid, heard you were a proper badass recently."

A half-moon ago, if one was being pedantic. Bloodpaw's orange eyes widened somewhat at the realisation of how quickly time flew. Last moon, she wasn't even thinking about moving dens. Now? It was an inevitability, something that needed to happen sooner rather than later. Maybe Lividpaw's knowledge would be the edge she needed for an early promotion. "You saved that Lead Warrior from a fox, didn't you? How'd you do it?" Foxes killed apprentices, that was what Ferndance taught her, yet somehow, this one had defeated one even a Lead Warrior couldn't! At least, that was how the rumour went.

He would indeed have paid no mind to Bloodpaw if she not had decided to approach. In truth he barely had paid attention to her presence in the den at all. His mind had been occupied with other more importand things rather then to pay attention to his own denmates daily presence. But for some reason his attention had been called for. Lividpaw he almost corrected them but to his better judgement remained silent to his own protest. Lividpaw did not wish to be called by anything but the name that had been given to him, properly. The idea of nicknames had never charmed him. To him it was disrespectful to not adress another clanmate by their ranked name.

" Yes?." he gazed them over from the corner of his eye. Bloodpaw always had a way with her words so it didn't exactly suprise him that the word 'badass' would slip out from this ones mouth. It was almost to be expected. It didn't take him much effort either to figure out what she was referring to. Gossip always find it's way around in this clan, like fleas it would spread. Just as quickly it could spread the truth could get twisted up as well.

Bloodpaw wasted no time getting straight to the point. She wished to know how he had done it. " You're not incorrect but there's not really that much to say about it." There was not exactly a mastermind plan behind it. Time had not been on his side so a proper plan had not been given time to prepare. " I was hiding in the bushes when i saw the fox attacking Forestshade. I had a choice to do nothing or act. So i ran out of the bushes to ambush the fox from behind as it was distracted. My plan from there on out was to avoid the sharp jaws as much as possible while trying to tire the fox out until help arrived." He knew it would have been foolish to attack a fox head on. His best chances to get out from there with his life would be to avoid its face, and land as little blow as possible while hoping for his mentor or another patrol to come to their rescue.
