// set after the return!
Much has changed in the last moon. Again, more tragedy has struck Howlfire's family. Again, she and Fireflyglow must mourn their losses alone, outsiders from their extended kin elsewhere in the clans. Howlfire wished the grief had not struck her so, but she could not help who she was, how deeply emotional she was at her core. She wished she could have basked in the pride of her recent promotion before the ground began to crumble around her.
It is not just her personal life that had changed either, but the clan too, in the form of her and Florebreeze's aforementioned promotion to lead warriors, and Twitchbolt's reinstatement as deputy. It was not so long ago that Howlfire had jokingly remarked whether they would be calling Figfeather deputy soon, not knowing whether it was possible for Twitchbolt to return to the position he had vacated or not. Orangestar had promptly given her the answer by reinstating him. She nor Figfeather had not had much time to talk alone since then, though had managed a few polite words on patrols together. That morning, with a pigeon clasped in her mouth, she went in search of her friend. Howlfire found Figfeather alone and alerted the other to her presence by dropping the pigeon rather unceremoniously at the other's paws. "Want to share?" Howlfire offered, when Figfeather looked in her direction. Howlfire waited for her friend's response before taking a seat next to her, allowing Figfeather to take a bite first, before she had her turn. "I take it there were no major injuries after the incident with ThunderClan?" She prompted, glancing at the other's ginger pelt. There was a faint smell of herbs to her, likely from getting looked over by Fireflyglow, but Howlfire could discern no serious injuries. "What made you do it? So soon after...you know...everything?"
