DOWN WITH THE SICKNESS || plague ridden ThunderClan patrol

Over a moon has passed since WindClan requested passage through ThunderClan in order to ambush SkyClan, and tensions were still high. Flycatcher had been sending more border patrols in order to ensure that their neighbors weren't up to anything, which includes the patrol Lily had been assigned.

It's early in the day, the sun barely crossing the tree line, when Lily Pad leads @Sleekpaw. and @KILLDEERCRY ; to reinforce ThunderClan's scent markers near the WindClan border. Before they left, she had ensured that the members of her patrol, especially Sleekpaw, knew how important it was that they all be on their guard.

As she passes the Owl Tree, she notices a WindClan cat on their side of the border. "Keep your eyes and ears open," she whispers in a voice only her patrol can hear. She usually doesn't like to judge, but with WindClan, there was no telling what they would do. Turning to the WindClan cat, Lily Pad dips her head in greeting. Howlingstar had raised her to be polite, even if she didn't care for WindClan cats.

1691975133964.gif Sickness! Come get your free sickness! Lily Pad and Sleekpaw are both infected. Lily is currently asymptomatic, I'm unsure about Sleekpaw. If you don't want your cat to get infected, you can still interact without being infected yourself!!! For those of you who do want to get sick, however......

sleekpaw & 07 moons & genderfluid & he/she/they & thunderclan apprentice

This is sleekpaws first time doing this particular border patrol, more familiar is he with river and sky at this point. Windclan is... strange, she thinks - she's heard many a story, most of them not good. But eyes are only curious, unjudging, wanting to see for themselves first before forming an opinion. the boy is slower than usual, something he's not fond to admit, but after the other days... mishap, well, the chest pains have only continued. It's easier, she's found, to not over exert herself. Perhaps if they rest long enough, it'll go away - just like the muscle pains and fatigue that plagues them when the push a little to hard during training.

  • a small and effeminate apprentice with pale pinkish cream fur and baby blue eyes. sleekpaw comes across as quiet and aloof towards most, though he shows a softer side around the nursery queens and his mentor. she seems to care little for anything outside of training, apprentice duties, and her appearance. they seem strangely silent on the topic of borders however, and even shiftier about anything concerning cross clan relationships.

The tunneler is rarely seen aboveground outside of their camp’s gorse walls, but today is an exception. The tunnel that leads underneath ThunderClan territory should be maintenances occasionally, even if it isn’t utilized often. The calico is headed that way when she hears voices from above, and exits from the tunnel system to investigate. From a distance, she spots the forms of unfamiliar cats at the border. She turns to her side, looking for blue fur—only to stop herself as she realizes that her apprentice won’t be there. Hell, she doesn’t even have an apprentice any longer. The thought sets a scowl on her face, cracking the normally stoic expression that the calico wears.

Scorchstreak attempts to school her expression back into something that doesn’t betray her negativity as she glares at the other cats. "ThunderClan," she greets, but does not extend any further niceties to the cats who stand across the border. Nor does she approach them; too many WindClan cats have been dragged across their border as of late. She will not be another.

ThunderClan. Bluepool does not hold them in high regard. They are at least better than the soft-paws in SkyClan and the fish-breaths in River but they seemed to always feel the need to remind everyone just how much better they were than everyone else. Denying them passage to SkyClans territory had not been the act of heroes like she is sure they thought. It was the act of foolish cats who sought to meddle in things that they had no knowledge of. They had tried to deny WindClan their justice and she is certain the stars would see fit to punish them for impeding their quest.

Still, she does not want to be the one who causes trouble so when she comes to the border and stands next to her friend, Scorchstreak, she narrows her eyes but her words are not directed at them. "You smell that?" she asks her fellow WindClanners, a sly smile passing on her face before she feigns disgust, wrinkling her nose as if some foul smell was permeating the air. "I think its coming from over there. That is foul." she continues, lifting up a paw and using her forearm to block her nose. "They should just jump straight into the river at this point, it's the only way to be rid of that awful stench I'm afraid" She nods her head as if confirming her own words. Of course, the only stink wafting from the other side of the border was Thunders own customary stench.

( 🐍 ) He doesn't have a set opinion on Thunderclan and all he knows that the clan refused to let Windclan pass through to raid Skyclan, that didn't automatically make Thunderclanners awful cats... At least, that's what he believes though he knows that it's best not to speak out his beliefs and thoughts to his clanmates that were a lot more brutal than he is. The moor runners ears perk at the sound of voices and approaches both of his clanmates nodding a greeting in there direction, he arrives when Bluepool starts talking about an awful stench and Venomstrike blinks in mild confusion.

He bites his tongue not wanting to seem dumb in front of not only his fellow warriors but those that were on the other side of their border, the large tomcat dipping his own head in silent greeting seeing as Scorchedstreak had already spoken. Smelly Thunderclanners... He hums to himself only picking up the scent of the pine forest that Thunderclan resided within and frankly, Venomstrike doesn't think it's a bad smell. A little overwhelming on the nose, yes, but was it stinky? No.
