-ˋˏ ༻❁༺ ˎˊ- It was odd to feel so out of the loop in the clan. Honeysplash had been gone for a good couple of moons, almost a year, and there was so many cats she did not know. The thing she loved most about Skyclan was that it was such a diverse, open place and there was cats from all walks of life in the mix of it all. Even the smallest kit could tell a riveting story of old and they’d love it. They had always been a social cat and wanted nothing more than to talk to others, and now that the leg of theirs was getting better by the day they were hoping they could go out more.

They recalled that they had a new cat to the clan- though their name escaped them for a moment. They had been having a hard time retaining short term memory and they put it up to their head injury or the amount of herbs they inhaled on a daily basis. The young warrior shook out their coat and looked around the camp for a moment with a small head tilt. Perhaps they could do sharing tongues? Or prey? Something to do right? They weren’t sure about it though as they weren’t hungry, but sharing tongues sounded nice.

Settling down beside the prey pile, the cream and white warrior nestled down comfortably and hummed softly to herself. Mossy green gaze moved around once more before they perked up and lapped at their chest to smooth it down. No need to be too excited, but they waited patiently as cats passed by.

Still a newcomer, they had little idea of what clan life day-to-day actually entailed, and they mostly kept to themself, lingering at the edges of the clearing, simply watching the other cats. Part of it was the need to observe, and part of it was the fact that they didn't know how to approach other cats, nor were they very inclined to do so. They weren't necessarily unfriendly, but as a cat that hadn't had much social interaction with others for their life before now, it was something that they struggled to understand or execute well. Even when they had had the opportunity to speak with others, it was too formal and too awkward.

So it was a bit unfortunate that their coat was so striking. That they spoke with a lilt to their voice and a formality that signaled that they were an outsider. And, like anything new, it was hard not to be noticed at least now and again.

Although they hadn't exactly figured the routine out, they did know that it was typical for the clan cats to, around this time, spend time conversating with one another, laying together in throngs of multicolored pelts beneath the pines. Sharing tongues, they called it. A primarily social activity, and thusly one that they did not partake in. Carefully, ghostly light on their paws, they approach the prey pile, narrowing their eyes as they gaze down at it, looking for something to select for themself. By nature of being in the same place, they settle down near Honeysplash as they do so.

-ˋˏ ༻❁༺ ˎˊ- A cat settled nearby, and they glanced over quietly for a moment. They didnt know this cat- were they a new joiner perhaps? They had heard talk of trouble with outsiders and kittypet with forest born cats, but that was all they really knew about the situation. Honeysplash furrowed their brow slightly before then giving a slight smile, leaning over slightly to speak to the cat who’d picked a spot beside them.

Hey! Are you new? Or well i dont think we’ve met yet,” They said brightly and smiled sweetly, “I’m Honeysplash, it’s nice to meet you?” They felt so awkward speaking, before they sue to make friends with just about anyone. Though that skill got them in a lot of trouble in twolegplace as there was cats they should not have been speaking too.

Was this cat from twolegplace? Mossy green hues adverted from the chimera slightly as they seemed to try to think of more words to say, “Anything good on the prey pile?” Painful small talk but they weren’t sure were was a good place to start anymore.

Despite having settled there of their own accord, they seem pretty surprised when Honeysplash speaks to them, though they quickly brush it off, their expression quickly shifting to mask any emotion. "New," they echo, turning back to the prey pile, though they neglect to actually pick anything out, only still settled there, "Yes, I haven't been here for long."" As hard as they tried not to show any discomfort with social interaction, it was hard not to notice their awkwardness, and small talk didn't help very much. They flick an ear in response, and nothing more on the subject. After a few moments of silence, they pose their own careful question, re-settling in their original position. "Have you been here for a long time?"
