short description / reference
A spindly, tall tom, who lacks the characteristic fat cheeks of his fully matured male peers, a result of Twoleg intervention upon finding him wounded by a monster on the Thunderpath nearly a year prior. He carries a docked tail and clipped ear from the incident, a scar on his belly, as well as a patch of white fur on his foreleg, the skin beneath scarred. His fur is soft and dense, in a diluted tortoiseshell colouration. His eyes are yellow, piercing and cautious.

↳ mannerisms Dustcloud is sort of a resident asshole. Blunt, scathing and sarcastic, he's not afraid to speak his mind and make sure everyone knows exactly how he feels. And yet... it's not quite what he feels. After his run in with Twolegs, the pain and soreness and those strange beasts petting him... He puts up a front to keep others away, to keep himself safe. Refusing to fall into a another trap, figurative or literal. His true feelings hide behind a carefully considered mask, making his presence some degree forceful and unpalatable so that others don't consider getting too close. He isn't a total moron, though, and has some degree of emotional intelligence, knowing when to drop the act, even a little, and accept his position, or to comfort, if one is unlucky enough to draw him out of his shell.

( Backstory / simplified history )
At 11 moons old, Dustcloud had made the fateful choice to cross the Thunderpath for the chance at catching a sparrow. A monster came racing down , heading for him, and he ducked down, in the middle of the road. His tail had not yet curled around him, when the monster stepped on it, breaking it irreparably, as he tried to tear away from the scene. Twolegs stopped the vehicle, chasing after him, worried. They called for the the little tom for what seemed like forever, before driving off. They returned with an iron box, setting out food. Waiting for him to slip into the contraption. Closing it behind him, and carrying him to Twoleg place. There, he was sedated and operated on, removing the wounded part of his tail, and neutering him.
The Twolegs attempted to rehabilitate him into the life of a kittypet. He fought every step of the way, and after clawing into the face of one of them, was released where he'd been taken, his ear tip snipped. His apprenticeship continued as normal, after he told his story, showed his clan the strange smelling blood between his claws.
He was given the name Dustcloud upon his warrior ceremony.
