pafp easy in this blue ♡♥ gossiping

"Did you know Leafwhisper has been courting Willowtail for a full moon now and she hasn't noticed? Every patrol, every hunting party-girl has a head full of dandelion fluff truly."
They did not often get to simply lay around, chatting and not worrying over hunger pangs and what leaf-bare would bring next but with the snow mostly all melted and the rabbit the patrol had returned with she felt a little more lighthearted. Her idle musing lead her to being nosy, not pervasively so but enough to entertain her. She liked to watch her clanmates, had a sharp eye for gestures and body language; quick to determine ones feelings at a glance. She had picked and prodded apart her thoughts, tearing each cat apart to get to the center and reveled in her knowledge of them that might be useful at a late time. Halfshade wasn't a cruel cat, but if she could help someone while getting something out of it then it was win-win in her book. Besides, its not like she was without her own problems. A longing look was shot towards the dens, mismatched eyes lingering on the nursery soon to be unused with the collective of kits all being apprenticed and she flicked her tail in thought. The moment the clan settled back into a routine not burdened by starvation the better.

"Are there any young fellows are little ladies that have caught YOUR eye, Tornadopaw~?" Not that she had much to work with in ShadowClan. There were a few newly apprenticed kits but they were much too immature for the girl in her opinion. Someone closer to her age, sensible, maybe with a temper to rival hers. But it seemed there wasn't much the marshlands had to offer young love. Terrible shame.

If you don't like me, that's your problem
A single ear turns in Halfshade's direction as she rasps her tongue over ebony curls. Pausing mid stroke, Tornadopaw looks up with visible bewilderment, a single brow raising questionably. "Seriously?" The girl shakes her head as she glances in the direction of Willowtail, careful not to let her gaze linger too long. Was the warrior seriously that clueless to Leafwhisper's advances? "I'm not sure how she hasn't noticed by now. Leafwhisper is far from...subtle." The laperm sighs almost with second hand embarrassment for the poor warrior. Relaxing further the girl crosses her paws over one another, tail swinging to cover her side. "Hopefully she'll notice one day." Although at this point she doubted it. But the conversation soon shifts, making her the main focal point.

Blinking golden eyes in surprise she turns to face the tri colored warrior, trying desperately to snuff out the flustered feeling beginning to well up. "M-me?" Her mind jump cuts to one tom in particular, clad in black with eyes that rivaled the glow of the sun. Her heart hammers within her chest as she looks off, paws tucking underneath herself as she fishes for words. She couldn't tell Halfshade or anyone about her weird feelings concerning Burnpaw, especially after seeing the ridicule Flickerfire received. "Don't be silly Halfshade, I have too much training to focus on to think about boys." She finally manages to speak out, ears still burning hot. "Besides, even if I did, I doubt I'd ever stand out to him..." Tornado continues, watching the common activities surrounding camp. Because at the end of the day she was a thieving shadowclanner marred with kittypet blood.

Lilacpaw herself didn't know much in the ways of love and flirting, eyes flickering over to Leafwhisper and Willowtail when Halfshade mentions their odd dance around eachother lately. 'So that's what its supposed to look like? Seems a bit overbearing to me.' She recalled the few times she had seen Leafwhisper's advances and while not alarming, they were quite overbearing at times.

Her attention is drawn back to the conversation at hand when Tornado starts fidgeting at her mentor's inquiry, and she doesn't have enough of a sense to let it go herself. "So there is someone? Someone blind enough not to notice someone like you?" Lilacpaw straightens up a little bit, untucking her paws from her chest as she tilts her head. "He must be daft if he wouldn't notice your ambition and courage. Its not like you're not pretty either, with the way your curls shine." Though she's complimenting the younger molly, the tabby's voice makes it seem as though she's reciting that the sky is blue and that leafbare is cold. That they are simply the only truth that could be possible.

    Lilackit - LILACPAW
9 moons, closeted demigirl [currently uses she/her]
A willowy, longhaired chocolate marble tabby with a distinct ruffle of neck and chest fur that trails down her back and white markings, has pale/dull green eyes
Lilacpaw is currently a mirror to those around her, she should be considered a spineless, two-faced cat among her peers, and a rather useless cat to the clan by most adults. She tends to strive for positive attention from everyone, only to have it blow up in her face and spawn negative attention instead.
Has recently lost her mentor Nightwillow to starvation, is becoming increasingly unstable.

Gossip was something that Ferndance often had an ear for, not because she had any particularly juicy tidbits of her own, but because it was fun to sprinkle little white lies into the truths that others were speaking. Upon seeing the other she-cats, Ferndance moved closer, picking up on the tail end of the conversation surrounding love lives. Her smile broadened with fascination. She placed one paw atop the other and splayed her hindlegs outwards, her head raised in an attempt to retain her elegance in spite of the words that were about to leave her maw. "Well, every warrior has caught me eye." She mewed, a glint in those aforementioned emerald orbs that suggested that there was some modicum of truth in that statement. Of course it wasn't every warrior, but if the majority asked her to be their mate, she would likely accept. Love was a whimsical thing, often there one day and gone the next, and Ferndance would follow those impulses until she fell into the paws of someone whom she resonated with on a much stronger level. If that dynamic changed, she would simply leave with no regrets. It seemed strange to hang onto what-ifs when there was a whole world full of them already.

"But... most of them have their eyes on others, it appears..." She feigned sadness in her tone, licking the remnants of carrion off of her tanned muzzle. "Always the wing-cat, never the chosen cat." Being romantically alone did not bother her as much as it did some other felines, despite her display. She tilted her head slightly towards Tornadopaw. "But if there is someone in your life Tornadopaw, you should let them know. Life is like... a flower. The opportunity to see it bloom may only happen once before it fades away into nothingness..." Her brows narrowed in concentration at her own metaphor, picking it apart internally to make sure it would make sense to someone else. "Don't let your love become a dead flower. Maybe it'll bloom again, maybe it won't, why take the chance? That's my advice, anyways." Her spiel over, the agouti she-cat lowered her head to groom her alabaster paw.
