♡ ECHOLIGHT & ELMBREEZE ♡

THEIR STORY.
Echolight, born Echo, has lived on the moors her entire life, alongside her mother, Brightshine, her brother Mallowlark, her aunts, and Heavy Snow. She moved into Windclan with her family, deciding it would be the better alternative than risk being chased off of the moors.
Elmbreeze however, was born away from the wild by two kittypet parents. It wasn't until later in life that he found Riverclan, and decided to join them.
The meeting was by chance. Echolight, drowned by her troubles and needing a get-away, and Elmbreeze, on a casual adventure, both happened to wander just past the Four Trees. The ease around each other came with time, but they eventually found themselves in love. Echolight relished the escape Elmbreeze gave her, the feeling of being unconditionally loved- it became something Echolight was dependent on. It didn't take long for Echolight to fall pregnant with his kits, and suddenly her breath of fresh air turned into a weight on her chest, if the wrong cats were to find out, it would mean exile, leaving her lifelong home that is the moorland. Distraught and in a panic, Echolight didn't hesitate to tell Elmbreeze, now turning his world upside down. They agree to give each other three days of space, for Elmbreeze to think, and for Echolight to figure out what to do. Two nights come and go, and Echolight anxiously waited for Elmbreeze at their spot, only for him to never show, unbeknownst to the grieving Echolight, he was taken by two legs. Heartbroken and feeling abandoned, Echolight turned to the only cats she knew she could count on, her family and her closest friend Yewberry. To both her surprise and relief, Yewberry offers to step up as the kit's dad, to prevent any suspicion, and together the two readily take on parenthood.

RULES
1. These kits will be raised believing that Yewberry is their father, this may change when they grow up, however.
2. It is preferred that the kits stay in Windclan until they are at least warrior age (12 moons.)
3. This litter follows realistic genetics, described below. Birth defects are allowed, but please ensure you have the proper abilities and knowledge to play the defect accurately and sensitively.
4. These kits will be loved and adored by not only Echolight, but her family as well, cruel names are not permitted. Name inspirations are provided below, and while not a requirement they are heavily preferred as they are what Echolight would realistically name her children- synonyms/similar names would also work!
5. The choosing date for this litter will be December 15th, but this is subject to change depending on interest.
6. Activity is a must! After two weeks of no posts without a warning or any communication, I do have the right to rehome your slot. With this being said, real life happens and muse can fluctuate- especially with kits, just shoot me a heads up!
7. These kits will start at 3 moons and age realistically on the 15th of every month.
8. Most of all, have fun! This litter has a ton of opportunities for different plots, so feel free to get creative! <3
9. These kits will be raised alongside a kit from this adopt here! with a minor age difference.

shorthaired tortoiseshell with low white and amber eyes / reference with a thin frame and gangly legs, thunderkit is an awkward looking child. her short, glossy pelt is mostly ginger with darker tabby stripes, and the very tip of her tail is solid ginger. she has small scattered patches of black fur, with a pale white underside. her eyes are an amber color that appears yellow in direct sunlight.

( + ) patient, respectful, attentive ( / ) cautious, sensitive, ambitious ( - ) fearful, skittish, rude the first thing most cats will notice about thunderkit is her fearful nature. a skittish child, she shies away from anything new and tends to hide behind her parents in the face of strangers or particularly large clanmates. she does not take risks or participate in any activities that she believes are unnecessarily dangerous, and becomes very nervous if asked to participate. she is easily upset and cries quickly when she feels any big emotions, but becomes snappish if pushed too far by others. she is a patient child, willing to wait as long as it takes to get what she wants, and tries her best not to come off as demanding. she respects her elders even if she fears them, and takes care to treat those older than herself with the utmost respect. she is a good listener and always looks for the intentions of others when they speak to her.

sh blue point with low white icy blue eyes icekit was born a solid shade of white, likely contributing to her name. initially, she was larger than her siblings. as she grows, the points of her angular body will turn blue while the rest of her fur remains an off-white color with some coolly toned gray shading. the molly has low white, appearing in a marking on her nose and one of her hind legs. her almond shaped eyes are an icy shade of blue that match well with her defined cheekbones. icekit will be a tall molly with long legs and a lithe build, muscles can be seen moving as she walks. she will also seem to always struggle to keep weight on, likely due to overworking herself. she has a long tail, helping contribute to her speed. her fur is short and sleek, but on her tail it is slightly longer and maintains a feathered appearance. there are also some longer tufts of fur on her cheeks.

( + ) level headed, intelligent, protective ( / ) driven, opportunistic, stubborn ( - ) territorial, sly, cold even as a kit, ice is as chilly as her namesake. she is highly guarded and will rarely be seen hanging out with cats outside of her siblings or family. her stoic nature is incredibly tough to get through, but she often shows a softer side to those close to her. while she isn't outright affectionate with them, icekit shows she cares by being incredibly protective. she will defend her friends and family against anyone, but not generally with outright aggression. instead, she uses her intelligence to get back at someone in more covert ways. she will formulate detailed plans in order to get her revenge without getting her hands dirty, and can be quite successful. her level headed nature helps her with this as her actions are not clouded with anger. quite a persistent little thing, she will not stop until it is done, and may often obsess over delivering justice. icekit is also extremally driven. one of her deepest desires is to become a strong warrior in order to protect those close to her. she will miss no opportunity for an extra patrol, training session, or journey if it means strengthening her abilities. this can lead others to view her as power hungry or arrogant due to her willingness to knock down others in order to make herself stronger.

APPEARANCE.​

black fur, white coloration at base of neck, long limbed, piercing hazel eyes, tends to go without blinking for long periods of time because, to quote him, "need to see as much as possible." tends to try to make himself small (which gets more difficult as he ages and his limbs only get longer). not necessarily graceful, but certainly walks with certainty, every step measured (almost as if he's making sure he won't fall over). face and voice tend to be flat, emotionless, regardless of how he feels on the inside.

MENTALITY.​

» quiet by nature - despite his natural tendency to display little emotion and talk infrequently, he hides within him a great curiosity that will be untarnished even as he ages. socializing is not his favorite thing on earth, and he tends to be uncomfortable talking to anyone outside of his family, speaking in short, clipped sentences; his preference is typically watching nature and being alone, rather than directly interacting with people. he has a great thirst for knowledge, though, and will go through any trial, even talking to people, in order to acquire it - this will likely lead him naturally down the road of medicine cat.

WHEN HE IS OLDER, he is planned to eventually become much more cold to the world; his prioritization of knowledge will turn into arrogance, his introversion will turn into a general disregard for the emotional (and often physical) wellbeing of those he isn't immediately friends with; while he won't become truly evil, not by any sense of the term, he will most certainly develop a very specific, hostile ideology. his tendency of speaking clipped sentences from childhood never fades, and in fact becomes the only way he talks, for "efficiency's sake." if you're someone he doesn't care about, he will likely seem downright heartless as an adult, but despite this, if you are someone he cares about, you likely consider him to be a jerk, but with a heart of gold, as he can be extremely caring and nurturing, likely acquired from his caring upbringing. He also doesn't consider a lack of knowledge to be a flaw, but an opportunity to teach others, though he might be seen as condescending when explaining things (and, frankly, he often is condescending). He will value self-improvement and the concept of progress and change over basically all other things, save for perhaps efficiency.

precocious, stubborn teacher's pet with a strict moral compass ──── the boy is not what you would expect. something about him seems wild, mischievous. be it the curl of his mouth or the untamed tufts of his fur, you wouldn't think him...obedient. but he is. oh, he is. anyone that speaks to him gets his rapt attention, any order he is given is met with complete respect. he shoulders a burden that no kitten is asked to carry– it's by choice, no matter what everyone else might say. he wants to be the best, do the best. to prove himself, maybe? to take the shroud he feels in windclan and lift it far above all of their shoulders. to eat this darkness right off the moors. he wants to be good. the best. and he knows that he will be.

shorthaired black and red tabby chimera with white and intense aqua eyes ──── a handsome kid, his mother's ghost in all but coloration. he is tall and lean, though in his youth he might be described as gangly. with long legs and a thin, rectangular frame, he is meant for running the moors more than anything else. there are only hints of his father's visage in him. a slight strength, a softly rounded face. painted in patches of solid black and deep red tabby, he glows in sunlight and moonlight both. the only strangeness is a patch of white, a small splattering on the back of his neck, at the base nearly between his shoulder blades. how odd.
