It wasn't often that Badgermoon hunted with just one other Clanmate: usually, he hunted alone or as part of a patrol, and typically with Snakepaw in tow. However, he had so enjoyed hunting with Cloudedsky he thought it was perhaps a task worth repeating. Besides - in this heat, it was good to have someone else around, just in case the sun got the better of you and knocked you out. The deputy loped alongside Jaggedoak, feeling at ease despite not knowing the other tom well; he stiffened as the enticing scent of rabbit drifted through the hot air, and cast an urgent look at his companion.
