It had been a little while since the five clans were formed. Although Lily was happy here, life by the river was still an adjustment after life among the pine trees.

All of Lily's family had made the transition to RiverClan. She recognised she was pretty lucky on that front, as there were some of her older clanmates who had split from their friends or family to join the clan. There were younger cats too - including the silver she-cat who had caused her to lose her mouse. With thoughts of family on her mind, Lily decided that she wanted to spend some time with hers today, or her uncle at least. Since the move, she hadn't really spoken to her uncle Clay...her mother's brother Clay. She had just been so busy with trying to adjust to her new clan and of course, helping her mother settle into a nest ready for the imminent arrival of her second litter. But that all changed today!

After waking up and eating a quick meal, Lily went in search of her uncle's brown and white form. When she spotted him, she strode towards him confidently, before pouncing on him from behind as she used to when she was a kit. "Uncle Clay!" She called out, as she crashed into him, rather ungracefully rolling over him.

The river territory wouldn’t have been Clay’s first choice of a new home. He much preferred the pine forest of what was now SkyClan, in fact—at least there, he wasn’t at risk of drowning every day. He’d had half a mind to remain in the pine forest, but then Ice and her mate had decided to move with Lily to RiverClan. And Clay couldn’t leave his family—or in this case, allow them to leave him.

Since following his family to RiverClan, though, he hadn’t gotten much of a chance to spend time with said family. It wasn’t that they were drifting apart, but everyone was busy. And Ice was having more kits! He was going to be an uncle… again! So he didn’t mind the distance for the moment; he understood that the trio that was Ice, Mud, and Lily were likely busying themselves preparing to welcome the newest members of their little family.

Clay was doing his usual favorite hobby of pacing when a sudden shuffling of paws behind him caught his ear, and he couldn’t turn in time to avoid being pounced upon. Panic shot through him for a split second as he collapsed, hazel eyes flying wide, until the cheery voice of his niece called out his name. "Whoa," he huffed out, a half-laugh, half-wheeze that shook his shoulders. He recognized Lily after a moment of staring dumbly, a bright grin spreading across his face as he climbed back to his feet. "Hey, kiddo! What’s up?"

An apologetic look flashed in her eyes when she watched Clay tumble, his slightly wide-eyed expression indicating he had been startled by her impromptu 'attack'. When he rose to his feet, she bowed her head. "Sorry for knocking you over," she apologised. "I thought you might have heard me coming." A small chuckle erupted from her maw following that.

At his following question, Lily was quick to give an answer. "I wanted to see if you wanted to go fishing or maybe just have a little talk," She explained. "With all the changes our family has gone through recently, it feels like we haven't had a chance to catch up."
