[ ༻❄༺ ] Snowpaw had been on this for a while now, tossing it in her mind. She had admitted to her mentor, to Basilpaw and to Thornpaw how she truly felt about herself and they all were there to support her, which made her feel more at ease. Snowpaw wanted to start off with only a few in the know of her own identity, but she would be lying to herself and others if she continued to be something she was not. So, there she stood in the center of camp with a nervous look in her yellow eyes, her stubby tail twitching a bit, while her thoughts went to Swansong, the other had been able to be true to themselves, had been brave enough to face the clan and tell them all who she was... so, Snowpaw can do the same too.

With a soft sigh that came from her maw, her thoughts went to her bonded brother to Thornpaw, how she had easily and yet nervously told them who she truly was so, she knew she could tell the rest of the clan. "Hey uh.. everyone... uhm... I'm not a molly, I'm a tom, I've felt like this my whole life and its about time I tell you all" he expressed, trying to keep himself from fidgeting, from allowing the fur on his back to rise, they'll accept him, he knew they would but...this wasn't easy, not for him at least especially when it took so long for Snowpaw to come to this realization. The thoughts of his parents, would they have approved? Did they approve now from Starclan?

Yellow gaze flicked towards his clanmates as he awkwardly shuffled his paws. "I prefer...he and him" he expressed through nervous breath. Had it always been obvious to the clan? Or would this all come to as a shock? Either way, this felt like a weight off his chest and he was silently happy to finally be more...honest in who he was.

*+:。.。 "And I'd prefer for you to shut up" Singepaw's lovely voice would be the first to break the silence, ever Snowpaw's number one fan. Though he was, for a moment, taken aback by the reveal. It had been a surprise when Swansong had come out as a molly - not because she wasn't one but...cats could do that? Not be the right gender their whole life and then one day just...be? Or were they hiding it? Or, dear Starclan, did they eat something funny and it turned them into a whole different cat? He shot a suspicious look at the frogs still lingering about. No...no, that would imply Swansong wasn't Swansong the whole time and while Singepaw wasn't close to the woman, she didn't seem...different when she revealed she was a she. Rather, it made more sense. Like, you blink and the face becomes a little clearer after you get the sleepiness out of your eyes when you first wake up or something.
Looking at Snowpaw, he could say the same was true for her...him. This was Snowpaw - annoying, pompous, buzzkill Snowpaw just, a smidge clearer. Snowpaw the tom.

"I have to share a clan with you, a den with you, and now a gender with you? Gross." Singepaw would scoff. If Snowpaw was expecting a 'congrats' or a 'you're so brave <3' from Singepaw, he'd be sorely mistaken. Snowpaw was the same person he'd always been, and Singepaw saw no reason to treat him any differently. Save for the more accurately gendered insults now.
"I've hit you as a girl and ill hit you just as hard as a boy" he says with a smirk, rolling his shoulders as if expecting Snowpaw to lunge into a spar then and there. If he was cool, he would, but when is Snowpaw ever cool?

Aaah...uuuugh....alright ok. "But ah - hm. Congrats. 'm not calling you brave though," he relents, rubbing the back of his head. As much as he thinks himself high and mighty for not treating Snowpaw differently, Singepaw isn't that daft that he doesn't see this event for what it is. Snowpaw's a dick but, this couldn't have been easy. Oh fuck - is that why cats take time to reveal who they've always been? 'Cus they think they'd be rejected?
Singepaw feels a shiver run up his spine, rubbing even harder at the back of his head.
He hates Snowpaw but he doesn't, y'know, hate him...doesn't want the guy to feel scared...that'd suck.
"but, uh, you are. I guess." he fumbles, struggling with the sticky feeling that is sincerity.

It takes a moment for Swallowpaw to notice that Snowpaw has spoken - another still to realize that they'd spoken to them. Or at least - to everyone, and they're pretty sure they count as part of everyone, right? Slowly, head turns as they pause where they lie grooming themselves - mismatched blue eyes staring piercingly into amber fore a heartbeat, then another, seemingly searching for something. It takes even more still for them to finally speak - head tipped to the side as they stare unfalteringly at the other. " M'kay, "

Snowpaw is far from their favorite cat - only a tentative truce holding together this fragile peace, all in the name of never making their poor mentor cy again (well, that and it was far more fun to bother Lividpaw now instead). still, they are no stranger to the whims of gender - while they hadn't been in camp for swansongs announcement, news traveled fast when everybody knew everybody and you all shared a camp. It'd put things into perspective for the first time for them that not everyone was like them.

That they didn't know themselves. Didn't understand that gender was just a silly thing made up by cats who didn't even know any better. Swallowpaw knew better though - because, sometimes he was Singepaw and Sneezepaw's brother. And sometimes, she was Duckshimmers darling daughter - colors mirrored in their pelts even if hers were far more solid than her mothers. And sometimes, well sometimes Swallowpaw was nothing at all, or something in between. They never really bothered with what they were called - he, she, they; all of it the same. A meaningless title, as made up as the 'paw' in her rank and name.

He would be graduated soon enough anyway, and then Swallowpaw could train in peace, so theres really no reason to draw the conversation out. Singepaw seems far more upset, mouth running as he makes a mess of himself, and they snort - sharp toothed grin tossed their brothers way as they roll over, hoping to grab Singepaw with their paw and drag him down to lay with them before chewing on his ear. " You should stop talkin' now sin' before you put your paw in it even more - pretty sure he gets the point, mister bees-for-brains, " they chirp playfully, hoping their impromptu wrestling match is enough to shut him up without offending their brother.

They love him, really, but nobody has ever said he's not annoying.

"Singepaw!" - Sneezepaw's scolding comes out in a warning hiss, and a sharp nudge to his brother's flank. Whatever this.. thing between him and Snowpaw was, now wasn't the time to be an ass. At least Swallowpaw had the same idea, clobbering him the way she does. Sneezepaw is just grateful that he's not the only cat with manners this time.

After the brief spectacle of sibling drama, Sneezepaw turns his amber gaze to Snowpaw and gives him a small smile. He and him - Sneezepaw can adjust to this easily. "You're really brave to tell us," he mews thoughtfully, contradicting Singepaw's former statement. It must have taken a lot of courage to tell the whole Clan; not that he'd think anyone would meet it aggressively. For a moment, he ponders the concept of gender. Sneezepaw was a tom, born and raised - and he never quarreled with this idea, but.. knowing now that it was possible to explore your own expression and identity, would he ever consider making that exploration? Perhaps he'd have to think about it. With a dip of his head, he concludes his thoughts with a friendly statement. "Thanks for telling us. I'll do my best to honor your wish!"

"INDELIBLE IS WHAT I NEED TO SPREAD THE WORD."
Blue eyes watched Snowpaw with curiosity, seeing the young apprentice approach and proceed to sit in the middle of camp had caused him to stop his meticulous grooming. He opted to paw at the ground in front of him, claws unsheathed so he could trace patterns into the mud. There appeared to be an uneasiness to her, which had in turn caused Haretooth’s own unease to rise. As he listened to Snowpaw speak he realised that the assumption of her was wrong, rather the young apprentice is a he. Coming out caused his ear to flick in the young tom's direction, there was an uncommon softness in his eyes as he looked up to meet their gaze.

He could relate enough to the plight of young Snowpaw, he had never staged a public coming out. For Haretooth's own process of changing his pronouns was just as combative and provoking as the tom stood today. If anything the arrogance of youth made it worse, instead of offering anyone the courtesy of a public announcement he simply interjected whenever anyone would use his old ones. The Warrior didn't see the appeal of being so… public about this, opening oneself up to potential criticism like that. It was an ample opportunity to be attacked, when one was at their most vulnerable. He scowled at the thought but smothered it to the best of his ability, lest it be misconstrued for him having distaste for the change that the apprentice had announced.

“Congratulations on finding your place in the world” he said coolly, it could come across as sarcastic but he had meant it genuinely. Haretooth moved from where he was lounging to be sitting up, desiring to sit up straight so he could deliver Snowpaw the respect that he believed he earnt in this moment. “Introspective can be hard, you have my solidarity and my respect” a rare smile is found in this moment. He narrows his eyes at Singepaw but any temporary annoyance is quickly smothered by the apprentice being swarmed by his siblings. He didn’t bother keeping up with any politics around camp, so the dynamic that these apprentices had were lost on him.

He remembers how hard it had been to self discover oneself. That sleepless nights and questioning, the no one to turn to in a time of need cause who would understand them anyway? Valleysong admired Snowpaw for their announcement and the requests he gave, despite the rather sour response from Singepaw. The others seemed to be in support of him though and that was who mattered; those who supported you. The white and tortie cat flicked his tail back and forth idly, “Suppose it is quite admirable, Snowpaw,” He agreed with the likes of Haretooth.

I remember being your age when i too realized who i was inside, and that it was okay to become who you are” The older cat commented with a small shrug of his shoulders. He recalled even coming out to his best friend Cygnet back in the day and how it had been harder to come up with reasoning behind feelings. Though Snowpaw was a respected member of the clan and he doubted anyone would dare say otherwise about him.

Snowypaw flicks her ear as Snowpaw talks. One would think that an apprentice as socially unaware as the black molly would struggle with the change - however instead she accepts it without question. There's no sense of superiority in Snowypaw as she approaches the trio of siblings and the one with similar namesake to her. Her mothers simply taught her to take everyone as they are. And if the white furred tom preferred to - well, be a tom, then who was she to question him at all?

She bumps her shoulder against Snowpaw's, her grin as wide as ever, "That's good 'nd all," she hums, "But are y'still gonna show me those new sparring techniques you learned the other day?" Snowypaw doesn't find the need to celebrate the change (though maybe she should, since it obviously took a toll on her fellow apprentice to come out.) She banks on a sense of selfishness and familiarity carrying her. Her blue gaze falls to the trio of brothers, playfully bickering with each other, and she posits, "Oh, maybe we can all play!" as if the situation called for a distraction at all.

" YAY YOU DID IT SNOWPAW!!! I'M SO PROUD OF YOU!!" Basilpaw would yell the loudest of course. That was his trademark by now so he could not disappoint!. Basilpaw would rush over like lightening as he attempted to wrap his forepaws around Snowpaw's neck to give them a proud brother hug!. He would grin the biggest one ever as he would swing himself and Snowpaw back and forth at the spot as he purred loudly. He felt a tiny bit sad that this secret was now revealed to the public because he had really liked to know a secret only between them!, to be trusted like that but oh boy was he also relieved at the same time!. Keeping this all to himself had been so difficult as he constantly had to think before he spoke so he not by mistake would call Snowpaw for his brother or buddy! and everyone knew how bad Basilpaw was at thinking before he did anything, truly!. This had really been the most difficult yet exciting secret to keep! but boy he hoped he never had to do it again!.

The very concept of he or she has always evaded Mirepurr, for as long as they can remember. Perhaps they didn't care so much back when they were still a kit, oblivious to such complex ideas, or maybe it was always brimming under the surface. Either way, nobody in ShadowClan ever questions their... lack of a decision. It's good like this. No pressure to just pick one, to throw away this comfortable veil.

It seems Snowpaw feels differently. His fur seems to shine with a new glow, almost like Mirepurr has just laid eyes upon him for the very first time. They doubt there would ever be anyone in this Clan who would frown upon such a reveal, but he seems agitated all the same, eyes glancing between those who are close enough to hear his confession.

There's an approving purr rumbling inside their chest as they pass him and the other apprentices by. Something playful glimmers in their eyes when Snowypaw talks, joke quickly slipping from their maw. "I'd hope becoming a boy didn't erase all his memories. All that extra training would set him back for moons."
