If sleekpaw is being honest, he's not sure what, exactly, drives him to sneak off from his mentor. Perhaps its the crippling expectations weighing down upon her, the increasing frowns and glares her parents throw her way - as though she is not doing enough fast enough. As though they themselves are not enough. Perhaps it is that, or perhaps it is the knowledge that they are not killdeers only priority - or even first priority. No, he shares a mentor with barleypaw, and really he has nothing against her but... sometimes, he wishes it was just him.
And so the pale furred feline slips away in the silence, dainty paws moving swiftly as she flits about, darting through the undergrowth, weaving about to avoid any puddles and mud, dodging any particularly nasty looks branches. Her efforts leave her looking just a pristine as when she'd left, untouched by the elements, were it not for the soft puffs of her breath in the cooling air as she slows. The scent of the border is strong, heady in it's strangeness, and baby blue eyes close for a moment to simply breathe.

— a small and effeminate apprentice with pale pinkish cream fur and baby blue eyes. sleekpaw comes across as quiet and aloof towards most, though he shows a softer side around the nursery queens and his mentor. she seems to care little for anything outside of training, apprentice duties, and her appearance. they seem strangely silent on the topic of borders however, and even shiftier about anything concerning cross clan relationships.
