The coast is clear. Hawkspine glances both ways across camp before he makes his move, ensuring that the sun-patched coat of Orangwstar is absent from view. Hawkspine himself is pretty sure the leader is on a hunting patrol, lweaving him to dsativ no satisfy his own curiosity in peace. Half-blurred eyes turn towards the elderberry bush where the leader sleeps, features pinching for a heartbeat, ears pricking forward. He'd been in the leader's den before, he thinks, some vague memory of Blazestar stirring at the rear of his mind, but not for several moons had Hawkspine seen the camp from wthin the elderberry bush.
As inconspicuously as possible, Hawkspine sidles across the camp toawards the den, glancing this away and that as he goes. It makes him look incredibly suspicious, though it'd break his heart to know that. Right as he peers past the fern that Orangestar hasd lost a fight against a quarter moon ago, an accusatory voice rings out.
"What are you odoing?"
Hawkspine jumps and whirls, ears pinning back, eyes landing on the Clanmate who has come to confront him.

it's time. B) if this is your first time: you may add formatting at the end of your post such as text colours, italics, and strikethroughs, but no backspacing or going back to edit your sentences during the writing process! anyone can be the clanmate who came to question hawk!
Prompt rolled from Deja's prompt list: The den sheltered beneath the elderberry bush is a complete mystery to you. Each night since shortly after her ascension, Orangestar has retreated behind the fragile branches in the purpling of dusk—and each time, you've wondered what it looks like in there. The leader appears absent from camp right now for whatever reason—emphasis on appears—and you've decided to seize the moment and finally find out what it looks like in there once and for all. Scampering over to the elderberry bush to take a peek inside, you'd better hope Orangestar doesn't make a sudden reappearance . . .
