[ ༻ ❊ ༺ ] Lakekit had been laying near the nursery den, his eyes slightly shut and head tucked on his front paws when he noticed to pair of white paws peer in front of him. Blinking a bit he lifted his head to meet Blizzardkit's. He greeted her with a hum before remembering how chatty the older kit could bit, which he didn't mind much, truth be told he found it amusing and so her company or, her approaching did not bug him much. Usually whenever she came about it was to talk about something and so this would be no different than any other time Blizzardkit decided to join Lakekit in his silent company.

"What's on your mind today, Blizzardkit?" he softly said, adjusting himself a bit to invite her to lounge next to him in case she wanted to begin her tiny chatter, or perhaps the other had come for another reason? The tip of his tail twitched as he angled his head to look at the other if she did decide to settle down next to him. Lakekit's ears swerved forward in an expectant way to hear what ever she had to say for the mean time. Perhaps one of the warriors had did something, or an apprentice had gotten in trouble...maybe something went unnoticed in the nursery when he had been napping, either or it must be something good, he hoped.

@BLIZZARDKIT

Lakekit is a nice kit, a bit quiet but sometimes Blizzardkit likes it when her friends are quieter than she is. She doesn’t have to hear anything in return; she could carry on an entire conversation alone, if she needed to. She just has so much to say—and unlike Gravekit, Lakekit doesn’t seem to mind listening. When the rosetted tom asks her what’s on her mind. "Oh," she murmurs, surprise coloring her expression. She has a lot to tell Lakekit about today, actually! As she settles beside the other kit, Blizzardkit smiles brightly at him before giving her account of what had happened earlier in the day. "Saw a lot of things today. One of the warriors yelled at an apprentice. They were mad at each other but then I saw them both go hunting together later." They had seemingly made up quickly, Blizzardkit thought. Is that how all fights between mentors and their apprentices work? When they become an apprentice, will they fight with their mentor? They don’t want to fight with their mentor. They don’t want to fight with anyone.

A frown creeps across their face, but is just as quickly replaced by another bright grin, attention returning to the other kit at their side. "Then one of the tunnelers brought back a worm! Know what a worm is? Small and wiggly and… and wet." They wiggle their tail in an imitation of the worm’s movements, tapping it lightly against Lakekit’s paws. They had played with the worm, gently batting at it with their paws, until they had grown tired and returned to the nursery for a particularly crowded nap. They heard that worms live in the tunnels beneath WindClan’s territory—so maybe when they’re an apprentice, they can find more! "I named it Littleworm. What would you name a worm?"

AS HE RAISED HIS FIST BEFORE HE SPOKE — Ever since Gravekit had made it very clear how little she enjoyed listening to Blizzardkit's ramblings, Rattleheart had been keeping an even closer eye on them than before. He knew it was pointless to agonize over something as mundane as a little spat between kits, but he couldn't help it. Violence had been commonplace in Windclan for so long that even the most base form of it made his pelt prick with anxiety, driving him to hang around the nursery just to make sure no one else tried to lash out at Blizzardkit. Or vice versa for that matter, not that it seemed particularly likely for them to try and claw anyone else's eyes out. They didn't seem much like the violent type, more than content with chattering a clanmate's ear off than anything else. The lead warrior was usually pleased to be that clanmate, though his duties made it so that he couldn't just linger about in camp while Blizzardkit talked.

It was a relief that someone else had seemingly taken up his position, the fur along his spine slowly raising as he waltzed into camp and saw both Lakekit and Blizzardkit talking - or rather, Blizzardkit talking at Lakekit. For a moment Rattleheart was just frozen with a mouse dangling from his jaws, terrified that he was about to see a repeat of the last incident. The expectant expression on Lakekit's face was what eventually caused him to relax, realizing that the young tom had actually asked to be rambled at, rather than being forced into conversation. No blood would be spilled between kits today - much to his relief, and likely the relief of Wolfsong as well.

Allowing himself to listen in now that he wasn't worried about a miniature fight breaking out, the tunneler chuckled at the enthusiasm in Blizzardkit's voice over a worm pulled up from the earth. He couldn't imagine being quite so pleased, but he was admittedly quite a bit more jaded than the little ball of white in front of him - he'd been having to deal with worms for moons, and usually they were only a hinderance to his work. "Are you sure Littleworm was the right name for him? He might've been quite big for a worm, even if he was tiny to us." Even though her question hadn't been directed towards him, Rattleheart still found himself tapping a paw against his muzzle in thought. "What about something like... Brownworm? Or Redworm? That's how they usually look when we fish them up." It really depended on the type of dirt they were digging through, with the worms taking on various shades depending on how they had been stained in their own wriggling.
