[Basspaw]

Basspaw takes shelter under a canopy of shrubbery and leaves from the howling winds that seem to bite at his cold fur.


He'd just recently finished a swim when the storm clouds began to roll across the sky. Smearing what was once a bright sunny day with the angry visage of thick gray and black storm clouds.


Sensing that the waters would soon get rough, Basspaw decided that it would be a smart time to head back to camp before things pick up any further.

[Rockpaw.]

☾ ⋆*･ﾟ Every now and then Rockpaw looks up to see if it has started to rain, the clouds dark and puffy. It hurts to keep his eyes open with all the harsh wind that blowing his face. The sound of the rustling underbrush in the wind drowns out any sounds the bird and other creatures could make, anything worth catching most likely already ran for shelter.

As soon as the first few drops of rain touched him, he scrambled to locate the closest cover. Rain and a bitter wind hurt.Rockpaw slid under a shrub, and hit something yellow, damp, and chilly. "Oh Basspaw, are you also hiding from the rain?"​

Basspaw nearly jumps out his fur at the sudden rustling of leaves. A hiss ready at his mouth and claws extended fully.

Upon seeing Rockpaw he calms, claws retreating back as he lets out a sigh of relief. "Hey Pebblepaw," Basspaw says with a grin "Yeah, I don't want me soaked to the bone and catch something, that would not be a very good catch i'd say."

[Rockpaw.]

☾ ⋆*･ﾟ Between the roots of the shrub Rockpaw manages to lay down and curl up. "Come lay next to me we can stay warmer together" he chirps. Thankfully the leafs held back most of the rain but the occasional wind slipped through the branches.

"It's a good think you got out the water I can't even image swimming right now it's so dangerous." The thought of the waves pulling him under during the storm had him curling up into a tighter ball. "I bet the fish are love this right now"​

Basspaw curled around Rockpaw, his tail wrapping around the prone form of the two of them. "Rockpaw how long do you think the rain will last?" Basspaw tried peeking through the small gaps in the canopy of leaves above their heads, only seeing the dark puffy clouds moving slowly across the sky. "I don't know how long this place will stay dry if it holds up for much longer." Basspaw thought, worried about his dry paw companion. Basspaw may love to tease Rockpaw, but it's all out of love for the cat. Basspaw was concerned about if a situation ever came up that needed Rockpaw to swim. "We can make a break for it when it lightens up?"
