With all the chaos that had plagued Riverclan recently, Gullpaw was grateful for the day's change in pace, noting how upbeat and lively the clan seemed to be this evening. "evening! have a nice day today?" Interrogating the first cat that stumbled past where he lay in the sun, he would beckon them over with a flick of his tail and welcoming grin. "Sure is nice to have a chance to relax and socialize isn't it? I can't remember the last time we were able to all take time to ourselves like this!" A cocky grin remains plastered on the blue point's maw, as he quickly begins chatting up the poor unfortunate cat that stumbled past him. He wasn't letting them get away easily! They were now bound by Gullpaw's laws to socialize and unwind with him, even if he had to force them to take time for themselves.

The scarred perma queen would keep herself busy with tasks that were set by herself, responsibilities that other perma queens did to keep her mind busy. distracted from pain she felt inside. head counting, talking with the kits in a low murmur of honey, answering their questions that seemed never ending. as the sun started to lower, her fluffy pelt would find herself coralling some of the kits to return to the nursery, until a voice interrupted her pawsteps.

"evening! have a nice day today?" blue gaze fell upon the apprentice, a smile tugging on her lips. "Oh- uh, yeah! Actually, it is nice." She purred, her gaze falling upon a kit sniffing closer to the medicine cat den, eyes peering in with their curious gaze. "Oh, d-darling, come away from there!" Lilacbird chided, in a gentle tone, before another queen came to the rescue upon noticing. With so many kits, it was hard for one to solely be responsible. And she didn't mind, ever.

The lilac tortie pulled her attention back to the apprentice, feeling bad for the split attention she was giving the other. "It- it is nice... t-to socialize," She agreed. With all the flooding, the injuries, and leafbare encroaching, it put a damper on too much relaxation. Though she always tried to take this time of day to herself, she would be sad to admit she didn't always get it. She was a busy body, and her gaze fell to the horizon. "It-its my favorite t-time of day, wh-when the sk-skies gl-glow purple," She purrs.

Her gaze falls upon the apprentices blue gaze as well, dropping it down to look at her paws. "D-did you learn anything interesting t-today?" She asked, her eyes glancing to the other queens before back to the skies. She had a feeling for the moment, she was stuck here. Coincidentally, isnt that what she did to Lichenstar, so long ago?

Calm is just what Gillsight — and all of RiverClan — need right now. After everything, he's grateful for a lull in his day, a moment to lounge in between patrols and rebuilding. Hardly does he get to take a nap, however, when Gullpaw and Lilacbird's voices reach his ears.

" I-It is nice, " the warrior agrees with the two, a small smile on his face. Moments of peace seem few and far between, these days. A head tilts at Lilacbird's inquiry, his gaze shifting to the apprentice. " Y-yes, a-anything good to share? " He feels like an elder, asking such, but feels like reminiscing on his own apprenticeship. The good parts, at least.

[ ༻ ☾ ༺ ] Echopaw's head jeered towards the sound of chattering amongst some clan-mates, and the apprentice began to make her way over before pausing nearby, hearing how the sky glowed purple and how the day had been nice. " skies glow purple..." she echoed to herself with a slight frown and a tilt of her head, clouded gaze drifted upwards before paying her attention back to her clan-mates, tail swaying slightly with a tilt of her head. "Today was nice, but everything is getting colder... what does everything look like now?" she chirped softly towards the others.

It was a shame she couldn't see because how her clan-mates described things made everything seem beautiful. Yet, sometimes Echopaw herself forgets her condition, finding other ways to navigate around her clanmates and go by tasks on the daily without the use of her eyes, but either way... "How can the skies be purple, others told me they were blue" she expressed twitching her whiskers in amusement towards Lilacbird's comment, Gillsight asking about something good to share, and a part of her speculate he meant gossip or what Gullpaw or Lilacbird had been up to.

Lilacbird was the first to greet him, seemingly shocked at first that he'd spoken to her. She's over her initial surprise within moments and finds herself standing beside him, answering simply. "That's great! It's always a relief to have a nice day!" Agreeing with the perma-queen, Gullpaw acknowledges her good day cheerful and thankfully. What would he have done if she didn't have a good day? Chuckling softly to himself as she shoos away the kit from the medicinecat den before they're collected, he nods his head in thought. Socializing was always nice, especially when they allowed him to yap without complaint!

"It-its my favorite t-time of day, wh-when the sk-skies gl-glow purple" "It is awfully nice... when the skies are painted purple and orange and pink..." He hums in agreement, closing his eyes briefly as he envsions the scene in his mind. Beckoning with his tail, he invites her to sit down and relax with him as he considers her question.

Gillsight soon arrives too, just moments before he's able to answer, agreeing with Lilacbird on the matter of it being nice to take time to oneself every now and then. Again, he beckons his tail in an invitation to lay beside him and continue their conversation. Again, just as he's about to share about his day, Echopaw joins them and he offers a friendly greeting as she speaks. "It's gloomy.... kind of grey and dull all the time. Cold too." Was that an acceptable description for her? Gullpaw didn't know how else to explain it when he was capable of sight, unlike Echopaw.

Her question about the sky catches him off guard briefly as he struggles to come up with an answer. When he could see how things looked it was easier to understand, but when someone told you conflicting information about the way things looked? It could be difficult to understand when you couldn't even see for yourself. "It changes color sometimes. They're right in telling you that the sky is blue. Most of the time it is. But when it gets colder the sky becomes a more pale, gloomy color of grey. Somehow the grey still has a blue color to it. I don't know how they do it but somehow Starclan has the ability to make the sky turn a ton of different colors when the sun goes down.... there's purples and oranges, and pinks all mixed together... it's breathtaking." He meows simply, still struggling to understand how he could explain this to her.

After several moments of silence, he moves on after ensuring no further comments or questions about the sky, answering Lilacbird's earlier question about if he'd learned anything interesting that day. "I didn't learn anything new today.... but I did catch a nice trout for the elders!" Puffing out his chest pridefully, he grins as he glances at Lilacbird, watching for their reaction. Partly disappointed he didn't have anything interesting to share, he hoped his optimism would be enough for them.

Snowpaw joined the gaggle of apprentices with a huff and a sigh and a shake of his oversized fur as he leaned on whoever happened to be closest. "Whatever color the skies are, they're too bright to be of any help to my fishing!" He complained, a slight hitch to the whiny voice he used to get his point across. He hadn't been able to catch anything! The sun had shone the wrong way on every place he had tried to hunt today, and he hadn't been allowed to hunt anywhere else because his mentor said he need to get better at fishing or something like that; ughhh...

Bleakpaw avoids social gatherings like the plague, and yet she seems to find herself drawn to them. Whether it's her own subconscious or the fates playing a cruel joke on her remains to be seen, but once more she finds herself in the midst of not one other apprentice, but several. All familiar faces, and yet the girl has made no attempts to properly get to know any of them. With her nose deep in her training and her mind on her own ambitions, making friends has been tossed off to the wayside. For better or for worse, though, she's found herself at an impasse. If she skirts around the group, she'll be perceived as blatantly rude. Not the most untrue statement to be made about her, of course, but there are warriors watching. She cares about their opinions a hell of a lot more than any of her denmates. With a barely-stifled sigh, Bleakpaw approaches the group, looking over them with an impassive expression, save for one delicately arched brow.

The conversation is exactly what she expected, really. Idle, meaningless comments about the weather and everyone's hunting. Nothing of importance to be found, and yet now she's trapped herself in her own choice. How lovely.

"Weather's only going to get greyer and gloomier," she mutters idly to Gullpaw, with barely a twitch of one ear. She's heard the stories of leaf-bare. While others might look forward to the eventual snow with kit-like eagerness, Bleakpaw knows better. She'll brace for the hardships to come, and take on her first real storms with her teeth bared. She can't remember much of the last, spent curled against her mother's belly with her eyes still closed, but this time, she'll contribute. She only hopes her fellow apprentices are determined to do the same. She lets out a long breath through her nose at Snowpaw's words, and her own are just as sharp and biting as before. "Have you considered that it might just be your technique, and not the sun?"
