He supposed one of the kits had spoken up to him and asked, or he had taken it upon himself to step in and correct their form. He didn't often interact with the young of the clan besides dropping prey off to some of the mouths with sharper teeth, or to their mothers- brief smiles given but soon throwing himself back to his duties.
Falcongaze had been going one hundred miles an hour lately. He hadn't taken any breaks or lounges next to Lupinesong, but that was fine. He was surely just busy, right? Today, his eyes were sharp upon Candorkit as the kit, stockier and sturdier then his own build, displayed what skills he knew. Falcongaze knew they were lacking- he was a kit, after all, but all he could think about was how he became an apprentice at the age of this kit's own. A soft inhale followed.
He finally spoke after a moment. "You want to balance between all four of your paws." He instructed, voice neutral. He wasn't being negative- simply instructing the kit how he needed to. "Being pushed over or pinned will make it easier for your opponent to win, so you want a solid base. Crouching lower will make yourself harder to move around." Falcongaze's eyes shifted and observed the body of the kit.
Thoughts suddenly sprung to that of his own mentor- would he be as kind as Greeneyes when he taught? Or perhaps closer to the mood of Slate? Could he even manage that of an apprentice? He was a patient cat, after all. Orangestar was surely going to be giving him an apprentice soon. If Cherryblossom could become a deputy, then Falcongaze could certainly become a mentor. Candorkit, for example. Perhaps Blazestar's own young would be one of his to teach. The leader he had looked up to, the first soul in camp he had trusted.
