a clouded sky drifted above them, flurries of snow softly drifted down. oranges and yellows from sunrise manages to peak through, casting rays of light, yet still providing little warmth with the light breeze.
tigerpaw had woken earlier, shuffling and kneading at her nest in missing warmth. she missed laying beside momma - tansyshine.. she hardly could remember the warmth her own mother provided... and, well. since batwing told her the news, she couldn't stop thinking about it. hidden behind a mask of positivity, the light not always reaching her eyes since then. she was trying her best, and that was alright.
they had left as patrols were being assigned, tigerpaw watching the warriors seem to split up, ears perking as if paying attention on how they did it.
as they walked, she pressed up against emberpaw in hopes it would keep them both warm. "why does it snow? it's unbearable- and we can hardly hunt," she huffed, exhaling a frosted breath that she crossed her eyes to see. "it's pretty, but that's all it has got going for it." she didn't seem too annoyed, but more intrigued by what the answer was.
she was excited though. emberpaw was finally well, and apprentice. batwing had offered the opportunity with wolfwind, and she got to train with her friend. they were going to practice sparring and there couldn't be anything better than that as it would definitely keep them warm- right? "but anyways- we get to train so much more, emberpaw!" her voice was chipper, but she maintained a quiet tone to not scare away what little prey there was.
of course, her conversation was all over, as unfocused as she felt on this dreary? on this cold day, she decided. she didn't know how to describe it. "I'm not that great at sparring, but we can learn together!" she purred. yet, deep in her heart she was afraid. what if she accidentally hurt him? what if she really hurt somebody else? she remembered the warriors reaction when she wanted to cry over her first successful hunt. and she was stuck thinking about... well, killing someone else. she couldn't do it. but if they killed her clanmates, she would have to... right? if they didn't back down?
she was scared- but she still hid it back behind that mask, anything to not let anybody know what's drowning her mind.
