"Hey, how come your name is Blackwater? Do you just really love water?"
The inquiries are blunt, though, rather unintended by the genuine curiosity that Diable's eyes bear all bright, her head tilted to the side with innocence as they remain by the camp entrance when the warrior planned to leave for fishing. The name tradition these Clans have are unusual, yet, poetic in a way from the associations and meanings that they represent. She had been given strange looks from certain clanmates about her own, questions that always linger as a sting: What does Diable mean? A shrug would be the most that she could answer with, but she knows better that it is meant to be an inspiration after an ugly stain that was violently made against her existence. She bears this infernal name the way that a fighter holds their scars with wild burning pride. Yet, the longer she stays with the reeds and rivers, she finds herself contemplating more on changing her name to fit with RiverClan better.
Although what parts of this wonderful and terrible world can speak about her in a perfect beautiful harmony?
It is a personal question Diable wishes that she can answer soon enough. For now, gathering references is the least she can do to better understand the Clan name custom, with Blackwater being one of the RiverClanners who she can consult to. Memories of him saving her lost self flickers across her mind. He showed an excellent swimming skill that can be expressed with his name, she assumes. Though, she knows it's best if she were to get the details from the warrior himself, hence, she stands before Blackwater with an unending fascination that is brighter than the sun and moon and stars combined. Maybe he can help her brainstorm some Clan names that she can go by. "I enjoy playing with the water a lot!" It's fitting enough that she'd be stranded in RiverClan out of anywhere. "I wonder if you have a twin sibling named Whitefire..." Diable laughs a half joke, the rest a true twinkling admiration.
