Slender limbs glide across the windclan camp as Flaxshade found himself a comforfable spot within the opening, having been busy with the duties of a warrior the scarred tom found resting to be the best to do in the moment, his blue head laying on his massive paws while his fluffy tail twitched watching as others busy about, while a yawn escaped from the corners from his mouth. If one were to ask the tunneler if he wished to participate in anymore duties he would not mind but to accept the kind offer, or if someone decided to sit and enjou the warmth that new-leaf provided he simply would accept the company.
Copper eyes watching the pawsteps of his clanmates while his tail thumped lightly on the ground ears curved forward while he listened to the noisy chatters of everyone else. It was about midday and many were either leisuring to themselves and having friendly conversations while enjoying their meals, while some were telling apprentices what they must do for the day, kits who hardly got the chance to stay in the nursery before being called to serve as young soliders for a better and yet stronger windclan, all this in the honor of their leader, Sootstar. Ears flicked at the sound of approaching pawsteps and he looked over with a slight rumbling of greeting "Did you need something from me?" his words smooth and honeyed while a smile filled with poison tugged at his lips, dark copper eyes looking to whoever approached filled with fake warmth.
"Not particularly, no." Silverpaw replied bluntly as he continued to stare at Flaxshade. The ex-kittypet wasn't entirely sure as to why he had even come over, though he suspected that it was more so company that he had been craving. The day felt as though it was dragging on and he was beginning to feel somewhat under-stimulated mentally. Worming his way onto a patrol was hard when your mentor was more interested in chasing tail because of the "Spring Fever" issue, as Vulturemask would call it. So it was up to him to find his own amusement. The tom sat himself down near the tunneller and he continued to stare. "So, what's it like in the tunnels? How do your eyes adjust to the gloom?"
Mallowpaw breathes a sigh of relief as she finally sets aside the last of the old moss, sitting back on her hunches to admire all of her hardwork. She still had to install new bedding but for now she could take pride in the fact that she cleared out an entire den by herself, sort of, she had help but if anyone asked she did most of the work. Sort of. Mallowpaw would worry about that responsibility later, for now she was more worried about grabbing a bite to eat before her stomach eventually consumed itself.
Padding over to the fresh kill pile she almost bumps into the back of Silverpaw, her tail poofing out over the sudden surprise. "Oh" she sheepishly starts, the rest of the sentance dying in her throat as her gaze trails up the form of Flaxshade. She wasnt aware Silverpaw had company, now she feels like she interrupted something. Mallowpaw can feel a nervous smile creeping up onto her features, the line of her maw taught with unneeded tension. "I...hope I didn't interrupt anything"
"Mallowpaw, did you get the - " the black-and-white tomcat was midway through inquiring if the wiry tabby had finished the task assigned to her when he realized Flaxshade and Silverpaw were nearby. Badgermoon blinked in surprise - how had he missed them? His mind had been so clouded what with everything going on, he supposed he'd just...looked right past them. "Hi, everyone."he said dumbly, glancing from one face to the next. What had he just interrupted? "You all ready for something to eat, I expect? Thank StarClan for how well the prey is running..."he was good at making small talk, wasn't he? Yeah. I have this under control.
Copper eyes watched the apprentice with a slight hum, perhaps Silverpaw had grown bored and decided to approach whoever to talk to, which made the tom flicked an ear in bemusement, before a question about how being underneath the underground was like and he rumbled a slight hum, thinking of how to explain such things to the apprentice. "Cooler than that of the surface, eyes adjust as well as it can but we use other senses such as our whiskers, tails, nose, and ears" he explained before more approached, another apprentice who had every intention to start a friendly conversation with Silverpaw after she had bumped into him, but she quickly stopped herself and he shook his head.
"Not at all dear Mallowpaw, Silverpaw was only asking about what it was like being a tunneler" he explained before their precious deputy appear and his gaze danced onto the other's form while he kept the smile on his lips, his tail flicked in greetings while letting a soft chuckle out from his lips and he shook his head. "Ahh I only came to rest for a bit before being thrown into more patrols...Not really hungry, but this weather does indeed...help rabbits...jump into your mouth" he said coolly.
"What have you been up to m'friend?" he said towards Badgermoon, laying his head onto his paws while ears curved to listen to the three that decide to join him in his leisure, one by boredom, the other by clumsiness, and then their deputy following suit with a question for little miss Mallowpaw...
Still shaking dirt from her pelt, Doverunner appears in camp, yellow eyes bright with pride as a hare hangs from her jaws, trotting with a bit of a skip in her playful step as she approaches the group near the freshkill pile, blinking in greeting to each cat before she dropped her catch. "Evening everyone! Badgermoon," She greets, bowing her head respectfully before her eyes dart to Flaxshade, basically buzzing on her paws with how much she wanted to share her experience, "You missed it! Me and Yarrowpelt(NPC) had been chasing this hare since our patrol started, little bugger just kept outsmarting us! At one point, it even darted under them! It was wild! Eventually, I chased it toward Yarrowpelt, and by the time it realized they were there, I was on it! And now? Now it'll feed atleast Scorchstreak, if not more!" The words excitedly spilled from her lips as she shared, her story, tail waving behind her as her eyes gleamed like two yellow suns, ecstatic with how exciting her patrol was. When all she did was scurry under the ground, any amount of excitement seemed like the best thing that happened to her, always buzzing excitedly to tell someone who would share her excitement and Flaxshade was just that cat. A fellow Tunneler who would understand just how exciting such a thing was. "If you aren't careful, I'll be outsmarting even you under there!" Doverunner teased playfully, laughing joyfully as she winked, grinning mischieviously.

RUN RABBIT, RUN RABBIT, RUN RUN RUN bunnypounce | 22 months | female | she/her | physically medium | mentally easy | attack in bold hotpink
Bunny is rarely one to leave the nice comfortable saftey of the tunnels. But with so many of her 'friends' hopping on out, the she-cat can't help but feel left out. She skitters about anxiously for a moment before committing - darting out of a tunnel and into camp with a hobbling thumping gait to announce her presence. The hot glow of the sun leaves her dizzy already, vision swimming as she struggles to adjust, but she can easily follow the sound of doverunners voice despite it all - though she might have stepped on a few tails along the way. "That's so cool! Bunny is wishing she could do that too!" unlike most of windclan, bunnypounce has never been fast. She is not a runner. She is only good at digging, and at finding things deep down in the ark that others might miss. Rabbit kits and weasel pups, moles and voles - those are the only things she can get her paws on despite her best efforts. But that's okay - she doesn't eat much anyways, and she's the fastest digger she knows, even with one paw less.
Tufted ears twitched while copper eyes flicked towards Doverunner as they spoke in excitement, explaining the detail of their hunt, and he listened with a facade of interest, placing his narrow head onto his paws while he listened, a small smile on his lips having not expected a crowd today to join him in his moment of relaxation. Soon another would approach, one who was much more on the skittish side, prefering to stay well hidden in the comfort of the dank tunnels instead of being in a crowd full of others, a hum came from his throat as he closed his eyes briefly before looking them over again with a slight nod.
"Thats quite an impressive story there Doverunner, and Bunny, I'm sure you'll be able to do that" one day... but he would keep that to himself while his tail flicked slightly and a yawn slipped from his maw, showing his ivory teeth briefly before returning his attention to the others, knowing they too were perhaps listening with intent of Doverunner's story.
