"What should my Clan name be?"
Diable paces by the side of the camp in deep thoughts across the gentle afternoon, her expression solemn and claws digging within surface. Still since the past few days, has she been trying to seek what Clan name she can go by. Will the leader be the one to bestow her the new name or does she get to have the choice of renaming herself, shedding what will be a past self to a brighter one in the image of RiverClan? The list of name ideas is infinite to a small innovative soul, yet, Diable can't seem to find any that fits her best. Nothing from the list seems to speak about her as beautifully as she would like. The world keeps moving and she exists in it alone.
"Spottedkit?" Now she sounds rather silly like this. "Quickkit?" But is she as truly fast? "Dawnkit?" 'It's more prettier than me to deserve to be called this.' Diable grimaces and catches a reflection from the river by her. She gazes upon it, though, only sees nothing more than a lost kit. She thinks about the names borne by Blackwater and Ravendusk, these parts of them that are special in their poetic meanings. She wants her Clan name to be like theirs, an endless echo of their vigorous existences. The more strange looks and jugdmental comments that she would receive over her name, the greater shame runs through her veins, feeling unbelonged to RiverClan.
"You should go by Fishkit since you know so much about fishes," a jest from a nearby RiverClanner who have heard her self given question. As indeed a lover of water creatures, Diable faces them with amused snort and rolls her eyes, her tongue a quickfire, "Hah, If I go by a Clan name after fishes, I'd hope I can soon grow fins and a capability to breath underwater just like them!" Yet, the concept of herself being a cat-fish does sound rather... appealing. At least she can find the Everblue a lot easier that way. Though, eventually, her face scrunches at a forming terrible thought: Wouldn't that make her a prey in the greedy eyes of the fishes' archenemies as well in the end?
A frustrated sigh falls.
OOC. The Fishkit comment RiverClanner is a NPC, but anyone is welcome to fill that role! Also, please, do not ICly suggest "Blackkit" as this is the name Diable herself will end up choosing to go by!
