Group training was not an uncommon activity, and though Lakemoon liked to keep it off of the table until she had established some sense of basic combat moves with solo-training, it seemed that this had been a special request, and the other apprentice involved so happens to be the apprentice of Riverclans newest lead warrior, Foxtail.
Admittedly, Lakemoon wasn’t quite sure of the choice Lichenstar had been making as of late, but the blue point was still her leader, and the chronically nervous tom still earned her respectful tip of the head each time they passed one another.
Today, however, they sat side-by-side, Lakemoon’s posture as composed and rigid as ever. “Keep your claws sheathed and your moves clean, do you understand?” While Lakemoon was sure there was little to worry about in terms of malice between these two, the reminders never hurt.
When the two would turn their attention from the pair of mentors, Lakemoon would tilt slightly to the side, a sliver closer to Foxtails ear. “Splashpaw’s combat training has been going quite well, how has Pebblepaws?” The question leaves her maw in the same cool, level tone the silvery warrior carries normally, concealing her white-lie perfectly. What could she say? What was the point of organizing a spar without at least a little competition?
