AN EYE FOR AN EYE, A LEG FOR A LEG. A SHOT IN THE HEART DOESN'T MAKE IT UNBREAK

࿐ ࿔*:・゚ — Her snowy paws walk along the territory already knowing it by memory and her tail twitches as they leave behind Thunderclan's border, she would need to introduce Roepaw to the gorge so that the red tabby wouldn't become a victim of it. At least, not anytime soon, she didn't want to become apprenticeless so soon and end up potentially training one of Roepaw's freakish reject littermates. The thought itself makes her almost shudder but she manages to keep her stoic demeanor as her lone eye focuses on the rushing currents near them but pauses as the tip of her feathery tail hits the chest of the red tabby tom. "Careful where you step. If you fall down into the gorge, you won't come out alive. Cats don't survive." For a heartbeat, her lone eye seems sad or haunted as she stares at the rushing waters for a long moment remembering that several cats had died to the gorge including her own father and mentor, Smokestar. A sadness washes over in small waves and it isn't one that she hasn't felt in the recent moon, she clear her throat to rid herself of this feeling and turns to Roepaw "Understand?"

She straightens her posture once more nodding over to where Windclan would be able to see them and parts her jaws to speak once more "We share this border with Windclan, they live up in the moors and are closest to Highstones." A single claw slips out from her sheathe as she points to where they would peer across at them and she thinks of the place where their ancestors share dreams or visions with the medicine cats of every clan, Beefang briefly thinks about how the nest feels empty without Moonbeam those nights. Her paw settles down onto the ground once more, Beefang drawing a soft breath with a small shake of her head "Much like Thunderclan, they aren't to be trusted either. They used to be led by a complete tyrant... Sootstar. She's gone now but her successor doesn't seem to be any better. A thieving rat." She can remember when Riverclan had provided them safety when fire had spread throughout the moors only for the very same Windclanners to go around and try stealing prey from them. It had come with a price though so she wasn't too upset by it, she decides to leave out the fact that Windclan seems to be Starclan's least favored clan.

"Be attentive always." Beefang says finally as she catches the scent of an approaching patrol and her tail lashes behind her, her molten eye fixed on Roepaw for a few heartbeats as she adds on, "After this, we'll make our final stop and pass by Skyclan." They would have to travel beyond the bridge and Fourtrees to reach Shadowclan and by the looks of her apprentice, he doesn't seem like he could withstand such a trip. He'd meet the miserable clan soon enough even if it might be the gathering.

ooc - apprentice tag; @Roepaw but no need to wait :]

Since their trip to the ThunderClan border, Roepaw had been trying his best to make sure his tail was up and that he wasn't lagging behind. It made him more tired than he already was, but the comments about him dragging his paws and looking like a scared minnow had reduced significantly so until they were done for the day he knew that he'd just simply have to be exhausted, but maybe this would make it easier for him to sleep this night, and hopefully one day he'd wake up before Beefang did to look at the sky before the pinks finally turned to blues. They neared the gorge and quickly the fresh apprentice found himself coming to a stop, ears pinned to his head as he heard the words leave his mentor's maw, and though he didn't outright mean to do it he did take a step back, ice blue eyes looking to the warrior in front of him as she spoke of what would happen if a cat were to fall down the gorge. "I w-won't get close, g-got it." Probably not ever, because why would he when death was such a high possibility here? It wasn't like the WindClanners could jump over the gorge and make it safely over, so he didn't understand why they came here anyway.

He wouldn't dare ask why though, afraid of whatever remark Beefang would make if his question was deemed too stupid.

As the black and white moggie spoke of how WindClan wasn't meant to be trusted either, Roepaw began to wonder if there would be any clan that the other would deem worthy of trust, but he nod his head after her words to make sure she knew he understood once more. He knew of WindClan thieving, had heard the upset voices of his clanmates from the warmth of the nursery when they had returned to tell the story of the clan tresspassing to take prey only for someone to end up dying. He hadn't thought to ask questions then but it was made clear to him now by the way Beefang spoke that it must have been the gorge to do it, or he could at least see some of his clanmates coming to the gorge to dispose of the body, not allowing WindClan to come into the territory they had trespassed in to get their fallen clanmate. Claws dug into the ground to keep hold of where he was as if the ground beneath him would crumble then and there and he cast a pleading glance to Beefang for a flash of a moment before looking out over the gorge to wait for cats to show up.

He prayed they would come quickly so that he could get out of here sooner.
