She felt for the family, the three offspring were born into a time of tragedy and loss. Petalnose did her best to train Starlightpaw but nothing would prepare them for the unexpected turn of events. She attempted to fight and refuse being chased from their home, the outcome wasn't pretty. The she-cat would have stood there and fought to the death if she was commanded to, she would live by her vow and her promise when she had beaten away death once before. Riverclan is what she protected, she would be a strong claw to represent her clan. The harsh marks across her face and neck proved it, luckily, it was healing relatively fast. Although, they wouldn't fade pretty which was prevalent.
Petalnose didn't exactly know how to go about their training for now, they were stuck in an odd situation and even if the pain was fading from her face- she wasn't too sure if she was still allowed to continue duties. She couldn't teach them how to swim.. fish. It was land hunting or battle skills if she was cleared.
The lead warrior was curious about the dark furred youth, there was a lot he was going through. Loss of father.. loss of home. Her mix matched gaze settled upon them as she gently sat down beside her, looking down with a curious flutter to her lashes, "How are you?" She hadn't checked up on her apprentice since the skirmish, the royal offspring had fleed while she defended and distracted through teeth and claw. Petalnose wouldn't be surprised if her student was traumatized and shaken; not ready for another lesson. It was best to reassure them and figure out where they were.
