pafp I DONT HAVE TO BE SCARED [ ✦ ] questioning

It had not escaped her that there had been cats in WindClan that had been less than pleased about her arrival. Sootstar had apologized on their behalf later. She had said that soon enough they would accept her and Tanglekit as WindClanners, that Sunstride showing her to hunt was a good sign. She is still not sure if she wants to be entirely WindClan, there is still a large part of her that misses home, that misses the marshes and Garlicpaw and Frostbite and Starlingheart and Thornkit. There are many things she misses about ShadowClan but quickly there are starting to become things she would miss about WindClan as well. The sign of roots being put down.

If she were to ever have any hopes of living here though she would first need to clear the air. An adult (probably Mistystep) had once told her that apologies were probably the most important thing you could ever give someone. And as far as she knew, none of the cats who had spit venom that day had apologized to her or her sister and that, in her mind, was very wrong.

So today, she sets out on a mission. A mission to prod an apology out of one of the cats who had been so rude upon their arrival. She recognizes him instantly. Black and white fur and green eyes. That him! That’s one of the guys! With confident steps that disguise her youth she strides forward. "You!" she calls out, trying to draw his attention. "youre one of the cats that didn’t want me or my sister here. Why?" her words are blunt, her face cross, though on a kit the look of anger was probably something more funny than what her desired effect was. But either way she had come to demand some answers and answers are what she would get!

There was, admittedly, some part of Rattleheart that wished he could have been kinder when Halfkit and Tanglekit had arrived. After all, they were only children - they didn't know how much their sudden move had impacted things. They had no way of knowing the chaos that their absence would cause, nor did they probably even realize that Sootstar or her helpers could have anything but good intentions in taking them to Windclan. However, he just hadn't been able to keep his mouth shut in the moment, unwilling or downright unable to let Sootstar use a pair of kits as her metaphorical shields from criticism. Unfortunately, the two little ones had been caught in the crossfire.

The tunneler hadn't been expecting either of them to outright hassle him in the middle of camp, but Halfkit had always seemed like the more spirited of the two of them ever since they had been brought over. Her voice cut sharply through the air, making him jump from where he had been settled near the freshkill pile, trying to figure out what he wanted. Glancing down at her furious and tiny form, he had to outright bite his tongue to keep from chuckling at how indignant she seemed, knowing that to her this was probably an insanely serious matter.

Though, he supposed it was for him as well, considering the watchful eyes of the rest of camp around them. After all, it wasn't as if he could simply tell her the truth. "Oh, Lark-kit... I can't say that I was expecting this." A brief glance was cast around the both of them, as if one of his clanmates might step in and save him. Unfortunately, he didn't seem to be particularly lucky in that department. "It wasn't that I didn't want either of you here. I... simply thought the both of you would be more comfortable with those that you had known since you were born. Has it not been difficult for you and your sister to adjust?" Maybe he could distract her long enough for her to forget her little crusade and grant him some mercy?

When he had gotten word of the kits arrival his gut had twisted into knots of fright. Picking a fight with another clan so shortly after being run out of their territories? It was madness. Not to mention taking kits from their home was wrong on levels not even Redpaw could fathom. It was ironic how he'd been left for scraps and fought tooth and nail to be included. Now there were re-named Shadowclan kits taken in openly. Not without many disagreements surely but still it was odd.

Not wanting to catch the wrath of Sootstar or her minions Redpaw had been expertly avoiding them as well as clanmates he wasn't entirely sure about. Thankfully, Rattleheart was one of the few warriors he still held hope for. Quietly, he approached as Halfkit prattled on. A fat rabbit hanging loosely from his jowels as he was caught in the moment. It seemed she was making the older cat visibly nervous in his reply.

To the apprentice it was a relief to see some sense but the cautious tip toe was painful to note. Grimacing he could only nod silent agreement to the curious child. Unwilling to drop his pick from the pile. Nor did he want to further complicate the precarious scene. Guilt burned in his chest as the reality of his silent obedience was just as deplorable. Yet, If he could evade potential glares and snarky remarks, it was a good day for Redpaw.

A quiet snicker would escape the molly's jaws as she took a seat, watching the scene play out before her. This ought to be good! Berrysnap knew the child didn't understand the situation and could potentially be easily influenced with her emotions, but she truly couldn't care. This had to be a situation that could end only one way. Poorly. If that were the case then Berry wanted to be present for it. Electing to remain silent, she wrapped her tail around her paws, waiting silently for things to continue heading south.
