pafp I NEED A DOCTOR // practising

He didn't want to think about recent events at the moment to have to get reminded about that everytime he went up from his nest that Dandelionwish no longer was in there to wake up beside them. So instead of dealing with his own emotions he would rather throw himself into work to keep his emotions bottled away. If he pushed them away long enough then maybe if lucky they would just go away one day. That was the plan, that was how he was gonna survive this now when the shook of it all finally had gone away. Slowly he was coming to terms with what had happend but he did not wanted to take a stop to think about it. What was done was done. He needed to found a way to just move on. That was the only option he had.

Vulturemask would leave the medicine cat den, one of the rare times he had this couple of days since most of the time he had keept himself isolated in there and the excuse he would pull was that he had been busy to attend to his annoying patients he couldn't wait to finally get out and leave his den. With him he had some moss and cobwebs which he would place down on the ground in front of him. Giving a flink of his tail the medicine cat would cast a dark look across the camp, a frown crossing his lips. " I need a test subject." he would demand bluntly to his clanmates, blinking his indifferent eyes as he waited for whoever was bold(or foolish) enough to step forward after his not so...inviting request.

// please wait for @Spiderbloom to post first >:)

Spiderbloom usually kept to herself, casting a stoic look to any who looked her way. She was distant ever since Dandelionwish escaped and chaos erupted in camp. Jasperglare had been one of the ones to turn, and it left her bitter. She grieved him quietly, not wanting to draw attention to herself.

A shame, for Jasper to die so soon. Maybe it was better this way. She wouldn't mourn him for long, she was already moving on. She was grooming herself as usual when Vulturemask called for a test subject.

Hm.

Sounds interesting. All in the name of science....

"I'll be your test subject." She responded, getting up and padding over to him. "What kind of concoction am I eating?"

What if she died? What if she grew another limb? Who knows! She was willing to find out

Call her critical but maybe she didn't trust the new medicine cat as coolly as her clanmates had. Sure, it wasn't that traitorous little chocolate tom anymore but Vulturemask had always struck her as just a little too lacking in the delicate department to be a very good soothesayer or comfort giver which is what she considered the normal for a healer. They were supposed to make you feel better right? Whatever, maybe she was wrong. Maybe he was there to make you feel worse so you got hurt less often. Mintshade wouldn't know, she was rarely roughed up in fights enough to need a medicine cat because she did not lose her battles; the only scar blemishing her solid black coat was on her nose, a momento from the pine colony bastard she killed in the Great Battle. Strutting forward at the call for a test subject, she stopped short and waited for some other fool to make themselves known before continuing her approach.
Hell no. She didn't even like the words he used. Test? Subject? Was he messing around with stuff to see how it worked? This plant nonsense gave her a headache. Then the point molly volunteered and Mintshade's acid green gaze lit up like fireworks on display; this was going to be a riot.
"Oh, please. Please...can I watch? Yes. I have to see this." Spiderbloom was going to die and frankly if it solved some mystery for the black tom then by all means, take the ex-rogues first before the proper WindClanners in his experimenting.
"What are you doing to her? Taking a leg off or something? Let me keep it if you do." Macabre trophies were more Mallowlark's thing but the novelty of an entire cat limb was too hilarious to ignore.

Having been so unfortunate as to cross Vulturemask's path as his call for a test subject rang out, Sparkpaw could only wince and make himself small. Maybe it was the old memories of this medicine den, and all that he knew of those who had resided there. Maybe it was guilt, or fear, or some revulsion he could not yet understand. All that mattered was that as those words came out, Sparkpaw was somewhat....afraid. How odd and unfortunate that was. The relief that he feels when someone else speaks up, though, feels good enough to nearly pull him off his paws. He might sink to a puddle of joy, if that were not such a suspicious thing. There's no true surprise at the one that had spoken up. Spiderbloom was odd, but certainly brave in her own way. And Mintshate– well, it doesn't surprise him that she wants to stay and watch. His thick tail swishes uneasily. Back and forth. Back and forth.

Finally, he speaks up hesitantly. "You're not going to do anything too bad, right?" He tries to cover his concern quickly. "I don't think Sootstar would want anyone taken out of work, I mean. Not right now, when we're–" weak. Bad idea to say that.

ALL NIGHT GAMER

Silverpaw wouldn't deny it, but he found Vulturemask fascinating. The youth was already on his paws and making his approach so he could watch whatever was about to unfold as the medicine cat beckoned forth a subject for an experiment. It seemed as though Spiderbloom was the volunteer; unlucky or lucky, that was yet to be determined.

After hearing Sparkpaw's words he finds himself scoffing. "Trust in Vulturemask, after all, he does this for the sake of the clan." He warns with a slight sense of smugness. Silverpaw shifted to find a seat as close to the medicine cat without imposing too much on the other's personal space, but one that would still give him a clear view of what was to transpire.

Aha Spiderbloom stept forever to offer herself to become his sacrifice of science. Vulturemask could work with this yes because he wouldn't care if he ended up hurting this one since he had no real attachment to this warrior. Perfect for him. The medicine cat would give an approving nod of his head. " I'm not gonna make you eat anything." [ he replied with a bemused tone, wondering why on earth he would do anything like that for on a perfect healthy shecat.

Mintshade presence was a thorn in his side like always never having been a fan of Sootstars sister...neither of them to be honest. She wanted to watch and although he preferred her not to he ended up giving a shrug of his shoulders. " sure." he would give a simply reply to an annoying shecat like her. " I'm gonna pluck her eyes out and see if they grow back." he decided to use dark sarcasm to Mintshade distasteful comment to cover up his irritation that was growing inside of him. He was quite sure Sootstar wouldn't be to pleased if he maimed one of her warriors. He was not specially fond of this auidence.

Aha, Sparkpaw arriving up so suddenly though made him feel a bit guilty with his previous comment. He actually didn't wanted to frighten one of Echolights kits. Even if he might not be close to them he wouldn't let any harm come to them. Vulturemask gaze fell down on the kit about to say something but Silverpaw joined in next basically saying what he had been planning too. It was nice to know that at least one of his clanmates trusted him. " That's right no need to worry." he once again was left to agree with the former kittypet who was turning out to have more sense in this clan then most did who was suppose to have known him for a long time.

Leaving it at that he finally returned back with his attention on Spiderbloom while paying no attention to Silverpaw's close presence. " Lie down and give me one of your legs." he orded calmly to his test subject while he picked up the stick he had found and left puzzled about for a while now. He continued speaking and if Spiderbloom had presented one of her legs to him would place the stick by her leg. " You see i've been thinking about this for a while now how sticks might actually be useful for something. What if...someone breaks a leg how is it suppose to get back in it's place again, right?. Right. So i was thinking what if a stick could be used to keep the leg in its place? so when its heal...maybe the bone will heal back to its original place if it's kept at it's original position." he was just rambling as he started to work with the leg using cobwebs and the moss as he tried to bend it together. Maybe they wheren't listening but he didn't care just rambling out his thoughts to himself, this theory he had cooked up in his mind.

In the first place he was practising to bend in a leg but also he wanted to see if he could tie a stick to it.

After some work he was finished with bending the leg with a sitck, moss to cover around the leg and stick and had ended with tying cobwebs around the leg to hopefully keep it in place. " How does it feel?. Is it too tight or too loose?" he asked his test subject not completely sure if he had done it properly or not.
