" Well you seem to be in an unusually good mood today." Fierypaw pointed out to his friend he was walking side by side as they returned back to camp to start their day as daylight apprentices. Both well rested and with full bellies thanks to the food back at the twoleg place. Now they would be ready to help the clan out for the rest of the day. Fierypaw had catch up that Jackdawpaw was on a rather good mood today. " Hmh, i'm?. Hihi, i guess i am!. How can i not when it is a such great weather today!." his friend would chirp only seeming to smile even wider. Fierypaw blinked his eyes, looking a bit stunned. " But...the weather fucking sucks." he pointed out since they literally were walking to skyclans camp in a snowstorm!. Maybe it wasn't that bad today but it was snowing none stop, it was cold and the wind felt like someone was slapping you in the face. How could Jacky call this for a good weather?!.

Jackdawpaw seemed to not have heared this statement though as they arrived into camp and instantly his ears would perk up as his spotted his mentor. " Well, i gotta go now but i will catch ya later Fiery!." He literally jumped away like a happy rabbit to his mentor while quickly waving his goodbye to his friend without paying all to much attention to him...Fierypaw looked a bit suprised by how easily he got brushed aside. That....that wasn't normal. Something was up he could tell but he didn't know what it was so he just watched after them before giving out a sigh, along with a shrug. Nevermind, it was probably nothing. Jackdaw could be as weird as this sometimes. So he was sure there was nothing for him to feel bothered by. Soon a smile would trace his maw. Yeah. It was probably something stupid like Jacky having get to taste a new food or something from his twolegs. Yeah, that was probably it.

Oh- late, late, he was late! Daisyflight- hopefully she hadn't been calling him, because if she had and then he'd not woken up and he had just missed her, she'd just gone out without him. Spiralling mind sent him shooting to his feet, barrelling out of the apprentice's den and likely knocking into a few people on the way out. What he was expecting was disapproving glances, an admonishing from his parents or his mentor... but he was instead faced with hardly a glance at all, and the sight of a fairly standard morning routine. That included the sight of Fierypaw and Jackdawpaw arriving to camp- somewhat soothing in its own right, because it meant he wasn't too late waking up.

A skittish stature made its way over, scruffy fur tossed over his shorter form, clearly ungroomed. Frazzled eyes lingered for a few moments upon Fierypaw's face, confusion dressing his expression slightly. A smile upon his face, looking in Jackdawpaw's wake- strange look in his eye. "Uh, hey, you- you alright...?" he asked, head tilting slightly as he asked, trying to get... some sort of read. Why had he sighed, if he was smiling now? It- it made no sense, really, but that was why he was asking, right?

Cold, cold, cold.

That was Soil’s first, second, and third thought as he made his way through camp. The elder already hade a distaste for the season born of senescence, but now the screaming of joints seemed at their loudest. The hyper-energetic tom never imagined he would have the thought, but he wished he was back in his nest. However, elder knew that wouldn’t be fair to his clanmates. No, the workaholic wouldn’t allow himself to rest.

Soil was plodding through camp as the cold and snow sapped away at his stamina. Everything seemed to be moving in slow-motion, weighed down by the white powder-

-everything except the shy streak of fur that just accelerated out of the apprentices’ den.

Twitchpaw passed precariously under elderly legs, nearly causing a collision in the process. Under normal circumstances, Soil would’ve found the incident amusing and more than a little impressive, but the weather was making the moggy live up to the stereotypes surrounding his age. Emerald eyes rounded on the skittish apprentice, and he hobbled in pursuit with intent to give twitchpaw a stern talking to.

Thankfully for the both of them, Soil was quick to cool down, and an ever-curious mind was easily distracted by Fierypaw’s arrival. Stumbling over, stern features would break into a smile upon seeing the snow-covered youth. “You could’ve stayed in that nice warm den all day, but instead ya’ trudged all the way out here. That’s determination if I ever saw it.” Gleaming eyes trailed after the apprentice’s, just in time to catch sight of Jackdawpaw’s strangely good-natured departue into camp. “…what’s up with him, huh? Don’t look like he even notices the cold. I’m jealous.”

"HUh?." He blinked his eyes, Fierypaw turning his attention to Twitchpaw who had come on over to ask if he was...okay?. Yeah, he believed he was. Nothing to really worry about was it?. The red freckled tom would give a nod of his head. " Yea, i'm fine Jacky is just...nevermind. He is always weird." he mumbled the last part, smile faded away again. Sometimes he was just overthinking stuff which was stupid, and he was not a moron!. Nope, not like Wildpaw and Quillpaw was. Speaking about that... He blinked again, his attention still on Twitchpaw. How was this guy holding up?. He hoped that asshole wasn't making life troublesome for Twitchpaw over here. If he did he could come to him and he would kick Quillpaw's ass for them.

Soil decided to join them and Fierypaw would look over at the warrior who commented on how he could have stayed back at his twolegs place. Yeah he for sure could have but Jackdawpaw wanted to play clan-cat right now and...if he could be honest about it he actually liked to come out here and actually do something and not just lay around all day doing nothing as a kittypet. " Yea, but how could we have stayed home in the warmth while knowing you guys are working your asses out here?. We wanna help as much as possible." That was the truth. Fierypaw cared about this place by now and wanted to help out as much as possible. In this weather they couldn't just leave skyclan on their own, what sort of warrior would that make them in the future?.

Fierypaw would look after the way Jackdawpaw had walked away, catching him talking with his mentor. He gave a shrug as an reply to Soil question about him. " Have no clue to be honest. He has been like that since yesterday. He come in later then me and...uh, i dont know whats going on inside that head of his sometimes." he admitted, frowning a bit before turning his attention back to Soil. At least he was on a good mood which was good...yup, totally was.

The sound of his clanmates babbling to each other catches Firefly's attention almost instantly, the cream-and-charcoal tom standing to attention to listen to the conversation. Eavesdropping was bad, he knew that, but this.. He was talking about Jackdawpaw, and Firefly chuckles at Fierypaw's statement on the weather. He pushes himself to walk over, ears twitching and head swiveling to properly face the group of cats. Soil and Twitchpaw, and Fierypaw.

"I think it will end soon," Fireflypaw responds in kind, soft despite the crack in his voice. His vision blurs, eyes shutting tightly against the flicker of the snow; paws shuffling beneath him. It was getting colder at night.. He wondered if anyone else caught Whitecough like he did.. His attention snaps back up, and Fireflypaw moves to bump his head against Fierypaw's own. "Maybe he's training by himself? He seemed excited to see his mentor, after all." It was a logical thought, though Fireflypaw wouldn't feed into anything too much. "Wouldn't you think, Twitch?" He turns to the apprentice, a smile on his lips.

Caught completely unaware that Soil was one of the people he'd knocked into upon his swift escape from the medicine den, all Twitchpaw offered the senior tom was a fleeting glance as he too approached, falling into a bit of conversation about Jackdawpaw. Jacky, as Fierypaw called him... apparently. Fireflypaw was soon to join, giving his own quick opinion- ever observant as he seemed, always pretty in touch with others. Twitchpaw was a little jealous of that part of him. The one that could form attachments so quickly, so easily, so....

Oh. Oh, he was talking to him? For a few moments, a few that seemed like a billion, Twitchpaw's wide gaze flitted between Fierypaw and Fireflypaw, mind unable to grasp that his opinion of all of them had been sought. For once, though- for once he did not give in to the beckoning spiral of his stupor. The one that spun and spun, downward- unreachable, almost. His eyelid twitched- once, twice- but by some miracle did he obtain a smudge of composure once again. "Huh, uh- prrrrobably," he hummed, still a little stunned. "I remember when- I learned a new hunting technique, and I couldn't wait to show Daisyflight..."

Despite the relevance of the thought, his tone trailed off. Oh, they'd- they'd think he was stupid for going off on a little tangent. For talking about himself when it was not him who needed help. Better shut up before he rambled so much he annoyed them, if that hadn't already happened.
