It was a known fact that Ravenstrike hated anyone who wasted her time and Howlingstar had gave her two apprentices to deal with. Meanwhile she was letting a rogue in just because they had escorted her back to Thunderclan and was letting in kittypets still. Her paws carried her through the underbrush as she came through the entrance of Thunderclan and her amber gaze observed. There wasn't many obnoxious cats out bustling in camp which lead to her coming to the apprentice den, her scarred figure blocking the entrance and exit as she called for her apprentice. "It's time for training, Smokepaw." She would call out as she waited for her apprentice to come forth before whipping around and aiming to guide her apprentice outside to an secluded area.

"Show me your hunting form." The ebony scarred female would instruct with a snap, her gaze glowering for a moment. Hopefully, he didn't do a horrible form like a spineless and unskilled kittypet. The thought of it made her lip curl of the recent kittypets joining before raising a paw to her lip and smirking to herself. Yeah? Let them keep joining and they'll die like the rat they are trying to be a 'warrior'. "You're not a kittypet begging for their twoleg's attention, fix it." Ravenstrike would snap as she noticed Smokepaw's form off a little and rested a paw on his back to lower it to the ground more. "You're to be low to the ground to reduce as much noise possible. You have to stalk and kill your prey."
"speech", thoughts, attacking

Smokepaw hadn't been busy when Ravenstrike called for him. Or, rather, not busy doing chores. Roaringpaw had made the mistake of leaving his nest unattended, and unfortunately idle paws were mischievous paws for the older apprentice. With the recent rain storms lately, Smokepaw had noticed more bugs inside the camp than usual. When he had looked for Ravenstrike earlier that morning, she had been gone...so he had decided to fill the former kittypet's nest with beetles and worms. Hopefully they would stay in there until the other apprentice returned from wherever they were now, but even if they didn't, he still had fun thinking it would startle them.

He jumped slightly at his mentor's voice, but he swiftly abandoned his project and met her at the entrance. His muddy paws were the only give away that he had been up to something, but he didn't figure she would care to ask. Nor would she probably punish him either...her views were the same as his about kittypets.

The tom followed her to the training area, and dropped into a hunting form like she asked. He had assumed it flawless, so when she found something to complain about, he let out a huff of annoyance. "Why does it matter anyways? Fighting is more important." he grumbled under his breath, before lowering his back as she suggested.

It matters because everyone is our prey.” Ravenstrike would respond towards the ticked tabby, an cold amber gaze flicking over at a squirrel climbing a tree. She notions to it with a tail as she uses an extended paw flipped upside so it seems the squirrel sits in her paw from their perspective, curved claws springing forth as a trap. “When you're good at hunting, you're also good at fighting.” The scarred warrior would respond after as she turns to face to her apprentice, an eerily cold smile mocking on her lips as she chuckles. He would learn in due time, much like she had learned.

The fresh metallic tinge in their mouth, claws digging into their prey. Fighting was just hunting a prey in similar size, and she was a huntress. Smokepaw would learn to be a hunter such as her, even if it meant nailing it into his brain. “The enemy is your prey, remember.” The mentor instructs as she takes a stretch, long limbs tensing and relaxing as she glances over her shoulder for a moment. She had no opinion on him tossing the assortment of bugs in the former kittypet's nest, and if anything- she would support it.

How dare kittypets waltz in and believe they were worthy of clan life? How disgusting. A tongue rasps over her teeth as she remembers the bugs, an evil grin flickering on her usual expression. “You're doing good.” Ravenstrike would state a rare compliment as she uses a paw to ruffle his hair. “As expected of my apprentice, better than the rest.” The midnight colored feline would respond as she rolls her shoulders as she spots a distant mouse fiddling under the underbrush in the distance. This would be a decent test to see how fast and successfully he could capture his prey.

See that mouse? Let's see how fast and successfully you can hunt it.
